We were disappointed with this apartment. The sofa is actually a bamboo, solid frame (suitable for outdoors) with a threadbare cushion, it was impossible to sit on it with the family and relax in the evening.
We specifically wanted a balcony, as advertised, however be warned, you can just about stand on it, it is for decorative purposes only.
What was most annoying though was the noise from the downstairs apartment, due to the central column you can hear literally everything downstairs, particularly when they are in the bathroom having a pee, most unpleasant and difficult to sleep.
Having said all of that, it is beautifully decorated and is in a fantastic location and quite authentic.
A very pleasant ground floor apartment about a 20 minute walk from the marina. The apartment is situated in one of the many narrow side streets, very safe and quiet, there are several decent cafes within an easy walk. The apartment itself has been very well renovated to a high standard and internally very pleasing to the eye, all the windows and doors are fully functional and when closed make for excellent security. the kitchen facilities are adequate, however a kettle and toaster would have been nice, the 2 bedrooms are reasonably spacious but have enough furniture to provide ample storage. The kitchenette has a large table with 6 chairs with a sideboard and a small TV. The apartment served our purpose for the short stay, however although fully functional it isn't the most comfortable, a sofa would be nice as sitting on a hard chair after a long day's sightseeing is not desirable. The bathroom is a wet room, after a shower the entire floor remains very wet and a return to use the toilet requires you to wear shoes. All rooms have independent AC units.
Quiet, tastefully furnished and decorated, clean apartment adorned with a good humoured, very informative host. Easy going communication (across balconies - Italian style..). You cannot get a better location than this - right in the heart of the beautiful old town only walking minutes away from the buzz, if you need it. Safe and cheap parking about 5 minutes away. Kitchen could do with some more utensils, but overall it is very well equipped. Great beds ! Perfect holiday experience.

The apartment is a very well equipped and laid out refurbishment of an old building. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nicola, the owner, is a great guy, very friendly and a good source of where to go type information. The apartment has a small kitchen area and effective aircon.
Le tre case is situated in the Villanova quarter of the city is a maze of old narrow streets where there is always a gentle breeze to cool the sometimes strong heat. The Castello quarter, housing most of the ancient buildings is just a short walk away and the lively Marina quarter where most of the eateries are located is a pleasant walk away. The number 7 bus runs past the door if you don't fancy walking.
To get around the city or to Poetta I'd recommend using buses and if you intend many trips, a pass for the duration of your stay is more economical. We hired a car for a few days to explore the environs. Cagliari is a wonderful city and well worth a visit. There's a fantastic food and fish market a ten minute walk away at Piazza s Benedetto and a cheap multistorey car park nearby but I wouldn't recommend driving the narrow streets of Villanova. Try the gelateria while you're in town.
