The staff were wonderful hosts during a two-night stay here.

The room was quite large with balconies that opened onto the side street as well as the main street. Decor was sparse, but to be honest with the center of Catania a 10-minute walk away the room was only used for sleeping.

The rooftop terrace was accessed across a narrow balcony running along the interior courtyard. Breakfast was standard fare, but the setting of looking out over the rooftops of Catania and watching the swallows flitting about the endless courtyards made it a wonderful experience.

There are no lifts; access to the hotel requires climbing four flights of stairs so those who have mobility issues will definitely have to give this hotel a miss.

The only other "room for improvement" would be the cappucino. Not the best.

Overall a good stay, made extra special by the two staff at the front desk who were both most gracious and helpful,

Room Tip: No lifts; access to hotel is via four flights of stairs.

Nice hotel in the heart of Catania. The best part about it is their wonderful rooftop terrace where you take your breakfast in the morning. The staff are also friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms are enormous but the bathrooms are not as big. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night and returned for another 10 days later. The rooms are good, without being sensational but the staff were very likeable and helpful. It`s up 3 flights of stairs, they`ll carry your luggage happily if you ask at the entrance. Breakfast was good, and can be taken indoors or on the terrace (nice). The airport bus stop ("Fermata Civita") is opposite the Via Anzalone, 20m from the door to the courtyard.

We spent 2 nights with 11 people staying in Hotel Biscari. We were 6 adults (teachers) and 5 students. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a central location, 20 metres from the bus stop of the airport shuttle, 1 minute from the main square. I would say the prices were moderate, a rich breakfast was included. We had breakfast outside on the roof terrace with a view on the port and also on the city. The staff were extremely helpful, smily. It is not a five star hotel, but if you want a good location for little money, it is an excellent choice. Mind that there is no elevator in the building, and the rooms are on the second floor, but we didn't mind that. The staff helped us take our luggage downstairs :) I can only recommend it,

A clean, well-run small hotel close to the main piazza in Catania. Do not be put off when you arrive outside the big entry doors to the palazzo. Look for the hotel name on the residents buzzer panel and callthem to let you in. Go up the stairs on the right for two flights and you are there. Not for the unfit! The hotel is part of an old palazzo and has some big, high ceiling rooms as well as economy rooms. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace with some views over Catanian roofs. Overall, a good option for the price.
