Although this restaurant is not located downtown, this should not be misleading. It's a restaurant where you eat well, in fact very good, at reasonable prices. This is precisely what I consider to be of higher value, not food specially made for tourists, as an indifferent meal. For 4 days we are in Catania, probably this is the best restaurant I have ever eaten !!!

We went there after reading reviews on TA. Went there one night without the booking, no free table so we made a booking for the following night. The menu is in both, italian and English, staff speaks little or no English. I made a poor choice of grilled tuna, it was overcooked. My friend had a swordfish, she liked it. I looked at the food of a table next to ours, all their dishes looked and smelled great. Baked sardines looked and smelled amazing.

This place is really perfect. It has fantastic food (we went twice), the location is beautiful (in a courtyard outside) and the service is fantastic. It is also very good value for money.
It has a small but well selected wine collection which doesn't cost the earth (the local Etna vino rosso is very lovely). The menu is also in English and the staff can get by with enough vocabulary to get you exactly what you want.
I can highly recommend the swordfish covered in almonds.

We stopped here by chance on a hot day for lunch. There is a nice outdoor courtyard, but the air-conditioning beckoned and we sat in the traditionally decorated interior.

Fried fish, stuffed sardines and pasta alla Norma were all superb. Fresh, clean and simple. Delicious.

Very reasonable prices, and friendly service. Great.

This restaurant was in a backyard. New experience for us and we find it cool. We had a bottle of Etna Rosso which we tasted for the first time. We think it was very good. We had a shared starter which composed of cheese, salami, vegetables cooked in super delicious taste. Their salami was very good and it did not have a strong after taste. I had pasta alla norma and the swordfish roller which I have not tasted any of the dishes before. My husband had their meat which was a bit salty but tasteful nonetheless and super delicous potatoes that goes with it. We highly recommend this restaurant for their food making and reasonable price. Our bill was only 60 euro for all the food we had which included a bottle of wine, 2 big mineral water bottles and 2 cups of coffee. We went back to our hotel very satisfied and really full.
