Two of us stayed at the Palazzo Sovrana for 5 nights. The location was conveniently located, in the heart of the city, directly downstairs was a number of restaurants and shops and bars. We had two balconies over looking the Teatro Massimo. We stayed in a small apartment which was extremely clean and neat. Balcony doors are soundproof which was great at night. Filippo was extremely helpful and accommodating and gave us tickets to 5 mornings of free breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs. We accidently locked ourselves out of the hotel and room early one morning, and after asking a kind soul at the coffeeshop to call Filippo, he arrived within 20 minutes to let us back in! Great place, highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here while we were in Palermo. The room was beautiful and spacious. It was also very quiet on the midst of the hustle and bustle because of the excellent sound proofing of the building. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It’s more of an apt lifestyle then a hotel. So don’t expect to see a front desk with around the clock service. It was wonderful and the location was perfect. My only suggestion is maybe to have more options for breakfast if someone is staying there for more then one night. It’s great to get the authentic Sicilian cafe experience but after one day I would like more than the croissant experience at the cafe next door. Perhaps some protein or fruit maybe. But needless to say the croissants at the cafe next door were absolutely delicious. Give yourself enough time for breakfast as it is a busy cafe next door. Overall great place to stay!

Spotless, modern rooms, in a beautifully restored old building right across the opera and close to all that Palermo has to offer. For an establishment that really doesn’t have a front desk, check in was amazingly efficient and problem free. The manager/owner established contact with us through WhatsApp a couple of days before our arrival and provided all the necessary information on how to get to the hotel and how to check in. On the day of our arrival, the manager provided additional information on parking near the hotel in real time (through WhatsApp again). Once we arrived, he had both of our rooms ready, and all the paperwork already done. The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. Great bathrooms with Bulgari cosmetics. Despite being on a busy street, the rooms were quiet so the windows must have been very well insulated. One of our two rooms had a terrace, but it was very small - probably not worth paying extra for it.

Breakfast is provided in the form of vouchers for a nice cafe just outside the hotel, on one of Palermo’s main “passeggiata” streets. Great coffee and sweets, although the waiters are overworked and rude, as they often are in very touristy parts of Italy. The side street, on which the hotels’s entrance is located, has a number of restaurants - we picked one at random and had delicious caponata and pasta con le sarde. Palermo has so much history to offer and Palazzo Sovrana is the perfect base to explore it.

Palazzo Sovrano is located on the most beautiful spot in Palermo, right in front of the Teatro Massimo and within walking distance of all the sights in the old town. Our suite was stylish and modern decorated, airy and light and had 2 balconies with views of the Piazza. Windows and doors completely soundproof at night . Very welcoming host Filippo, supervised parking nearby, great Italian breakfast on the terrace of the bar downstairs. We had a great time, very happy to be back in Sicily!

Great value for money, new and soundproof with beautiful and quirky design elements and all the amenities one might need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. I like that this place feels authentic and like real effort is put into it to offer people such great value for a room night ... a lot of places rip you off these days. The location is also amazing (although hard to find at first and impossible to park in front, but we didn’t really care about that as we were on foot anyway). Really loved it and wish we could’ve stayed longer.
