Walked past it, went in, delighted! Four hours of Uffizi (8.15 entry) & Santa Croce enjoyed, we were ready for an early lunch just after noon. Intending to walk back into the city, we saw this restaurant and feet & appetites said, "Stop here!". It was a good decision. There are two or three pavement tables, but we went inside (too many pigeons in the Piazza Santa Croce).
The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The menu is varied and give very good value. My wife had an excellent seafood risotto and I had sausage and pork steak with fries, accompanied by 0.5 litre of house red. The food was well-cooked, the wine very quaffable and the price 31.60 euros. Very glad we saw it. If you are around Santa Croce, check it out!
