Reasonable; commute into town not a problem with the shuttle bus (15 mins), and taxis easy to get home in the evening. Clean, spacious rooms, a bit dated. Breakfast buffet a little ropey but priced accordingly.

This hotel is about 5km outside of the main city of Firenze, however, it has a free shuttle that will drop you off at one of several stops in the city close to the tourist attractions. The hotel is nicely furnished for the short-stay traveler with one of the more comfortable beds I have experienced in my travels around Italy. The breakfast is a little expensive at 12 euro per person but is the standard European fare of bread, cheese, cold meats and various sweet items. The restaurant for dinner is good and they offer a wonderful Chianti for 18 euro per bottle. Would stay here again, especially for the price!

This Starwood Property would normally not be our idea of a holiday hotel. It is very austere and business oriented. BUT it is extremely convenient being located at Florence South Exit of A1 Autostrade.

Rooms are tired and a little dusty, but the Front Desk Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here on my way into/out of Florence in order to avoid the expensive costs $/Euros of downtown Florence Hotels.

The Hotel has a convenient shuttle six times (or more) per day to and from the Santa Maria Novella Trainstation so this can also be quite convenient. The Shuttle is limited to the first 16 people on board (first come/first served).

I notice lots of tour groups (Asian and otherwise) use this hotel for stopping through Florence. Also good shopping at Montevarchi (Prada Factory) and the Mall (Incisa-Regello) are nearby.

All in all, good value for a very basic business/tourist hotel for travel convenience, not for a luxurious stay.

Room Tip: Join Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) program in order to earn points/miles and get room upgrades.

First a comment for travellers, just dont stay here, second a comment for the Sheraton group, please get rid of this hotel.

To eloborate on the second point, I am here for a conference. The organisers booked it sight unseen based on Sheratons reputation. Therein lies the problem, Sheraton, by having this hotel on yoour list it devalues your brand. I and the conference organisers trusted that the hotel would be good because of your brand, we can no longer do that.

OK, so it was not the worst hotel I have every stayed in, it was clean enough, the staff courteous and helpful etc. What is the issue? It was built in 1982 and has had about two Euro spent on maintenance since then. It looks like a soviet bunker. The location is terrible. The pool is a rectangle with no character, the tennis court is covered in plant matter and was last used in 1993 by the looks of it. The hotel is falling apart and, if not for the Sheraton name, it would not attract one single guest.

So if you must, OK, stay here. You wont get eaten by bed bugs and the food is OK. But there are so many better places to stay, Do yourself a favour and just don't.

20 minutes driving from the centre of Firenze, this is a convention centre hotel, not really a tourist location. Nevertheless, the regular complimentary hotel shuttle makes you forget that you're in the middle of nowhere, and brings you to the highlights of the city (Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Railway station) and back to the hotel (only from the station). Everything is well organized, you won't have negative experiences during your stay, provided that you don't mind (a) sometimes huge crowds that attend conferences, or (b) a limited breakfast - only cold dishes, or (c) a huge pool that just doesn't seem to be heating up even when it's 30+ °C outside. We wouldn't mind getting back there.
