We stayed four nights at this hotel. The location is fantastic, just beside the Ponte Vecchio bridge and a short stroll to the main streets. The room was fine for our needs, as we didn’t spend much time there. There was also a supermarket right on our doorstep. There was a lovely selection of cereals, breads and meats for breakfast, and it was worth arriving early for breakfast as you can take a window seat with a view! Will stay again on next trip to Florence!

Situated directly at the Oltrano side of the pont Vecchio, this property is perfect for foot trafficking around both sides of the city. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We requested a higher floor room in our booking, and got exactly that. The bathroom is well equipped. Staff is warm, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful on all counts whether it was something we needed or a recommendation. This is a bustling center city property with guests from all over the world, and As i observed all were treated with respect and high standards. There is a lovely sitting salon looking over Borgo San Jacopo.
There are 2 parking garages to choose, but just leave the car and forget it.

Room Tip: Book higher floors for the view.

My husband and I stayed at Pitti Palace for 2 nights. The staff were efficient and welcoming and we were given the room we requested:). We were a little disappointed that our bed was not a double but the room was clean and adequate for our short stay. The hotel is in an excellent position, literally a stone's throw away from the Ponte Vecchio and most of the other tourist attractions :). Restaurants are close by, as are plenty of shops if you are keen to shop! The hotel also has free wifi which we found easy to use:). On the negative side, the breakfast offered was very average. Florence is a beautiful city and our choice of hotel suited us perfectly:)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 507 (another guest had recommended it). It had a lovely view over the city and is one floor down from the dining room which meant we could use the stairs instead of waiting for the lift that could take 5 minutes to get to the floor!

I just returned from Florence two weeks ago and would recomment Pitti Palace to anyone making a trip there. First the location is very close to everything, all of the sites, but also very close to areas and restaurants where we were told locals go as well....(Santo Spirito for example, with great restaurants, and nightlife). I think being able to literally almost reach out and touch the Ponte Vecchio is pretty cool as well, and the view in the morning at breakfast or in the afternoon for happy hour of the Florence skyline is just a nice added bonus.

I was traveling with a friend and we requested a double room with two twin beds, and it was a very nice size, great closet space, and very nice bathroom. We also loved that the windows open and you can look down on all of the hustle and bustle of the city.

The best part was how friendly and accomadating the staff were. So nice at all times, very cheerful and ready and willing to help with any questions/requests we had.

Overall, it was a nice hotel, with a homey and welcoming vibe, honestly that set a really nice tone for our Florence visit!

Great position but as Florence is so small virtually everything is in a great position. Provided a double room not the twin reserved. No alternative available. Gave us bedclothes and suggested we split the bed and make up twins ourselves.
Fabulous views across the city from the terrace where a perfectly adequate breakfast was served. Somewhat spoilt by the plastic sheeting in place in the mornings, "to keep the pigeons out".
Serviceable place to sleep whilst exploring this fabulous city
