First place we wandered into after coming into Florence hungry and tired. What luck! The panini was delicious and really hit the spot. Marco was so nice and friendly and made us feel at home when we felt so very far away. He was generous with his time, translating the delicious sandwich fillings into english and made a great recommendation for a place to get good coffee. We made sure we went back before we left. One of our treasured memories of Florence.

Are you looking for a light, absolutely delicious, authentic Italian lunch that's good for you? You've just found it. It's at “Ke Ci Metto?” which, roughly translated, means “How'd you like it?” And that's exactly what Marco and his wife Francesca will ask you when you enter their adorable little panino shop. You’ll get your panino “as you like it” on a freshly baked traditional focaccia with cumin seeds, or a variety of unusual flours such as spinach-potato and kamut, served with their homemade Italian spreads, grilled or fresh vegetables, cheese and cold cuts. Or save on calories and have what I order: an "insalatone", an American-sized salad with spicy pecorino cheese and sun-dried tomatoes artistically arranged on a bed of curly lettuce and arugula. And until this hidden gem is discovered, you can enjoy your creation surrounded by Italians, not tourists, right in the center of Florence!

From the moment you walk in the hosts greet you with warm smiles and enthusiasm for their bread "We are known for our special breads" they grinned. We selected our bread froma broad range and the fillings and took their advice on the extras. The result was the tastiest panini ever! We ate ours outside and went back in for seconds. Just brilliant! And great value too.
