When you enter this restaurant you'd think it's a regular one with nothing special to it, but right away, when you read your menu, you understand you're in for a treat.
The staff is friendly, the menu is clear and short.
To start, me and my boyfriend took two antipasti, a tartare with truffle "caviar" and smoked salmon served with burrata and strawberries, they served us two big portion, well presented, delicious and stunning.
We decided to share the tuna with quinoa, coconut yogurt and wasabi sauce and they brought us to plates that you could have mistaken for two big portions, but it was only one!
The tuna was slightly cooked and covered with sesame seeds, the pairing with coconut was spot on, but the wasabi wasn't the real thing since it was a green sauce tasting like peas. That aside, everything was perfect, for dessert we had a licorice semifreddo with grapefruit reduction and a meringue: an odd match, but it worked.
The presentation of every plate was crafted and pleasant to look at.
The wine, a grechetto, was good too.
Don't miss this place if you're going to Assisi, it's not that expensive too.
