I have just left Hotel Morlacchi after a 4-night stay in Perugia. The location is literally a 1 minute walk from Piazza IV Novembre but still feels like you are away from the touristy areas. I had a single room which was a good size - and thought has gone into what guests actually want, with a full length mirror inside the wardrobe and a proper hairdryer (not the small one-setting hairdryer you normally get!). The bathroom was small but well laid out and the shower was really good - good pressure and consistent temperature throughout my stay. The wifi worked well and was uninterrupted. Breakfasts were nice - croissants, bread rolls with various spreads to choose from, delicious blood orange juice, yoghurts, and coffee or tea.
All of the above make this Hotel really good value, but the hotel owners are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and they made my stay at their hotel perfect. From the much needed espresso on my arrival after a long day travelling and taking my suitcase to my room, to the morning chats over breakfast, this really didn't feel like a stay in a hotel, but a visit to friends.
I can't recommend this hotel enough and I hope to return the next time I am in Perugia. Thank you!!More
