A great location in beautiful Perugia. A 10 minute walk from all the sights. We got upgraded to a room with a fabulous terrace and amazing views. Rooms were spotlessly clean too. A great hotel for the money. Would definitely recommend.

If you arrive by train, you will need to catch the minimetro to Pincetta stop to get to historic centre. It's quite easy, walk to end of platform, you will see mini metro sign, at mini metro buy ticket from machine 1.5 Euro. Hotel is a 10 minutes walk from Pincetta station. We were 4 adults, hotel room is clean and comfortable, bathroom is also very clean, but a bit tight in room. location is good, 10 minute walk into centre. Might be worth printing a map of the old town before you come, the maps the hotel gives you is pretty useless. There is an info point not far from hotel. We had an ok stay.

We paid a premium for a room with a balcony terrace, though it rained the three days we were there. We booked a "non-smoking" room, though they would seem to encourage smoking based on the gigantic ashtray they leave on the balcony table. Smoking policy is extremely lax, as our room and the entire hallway was filled with second hand smoke from the neighbouring room. There are no windows in the hall so it sticks to the walls and your clothes, your skin, your eyes, and grows stale and rancid. Despite being cold and rainy, we had to throw open the balcony door and bathroom window just to try to clear the air. We couldn't even relax in our room. To call this hotel "non-smoking" borders on false advertising. So if you care about your health and your lungs and are trying to have a relaxing trip, give this place a wide berth.

Sir/Madam,
you didn't pay any extra charge for the room with terrace... we upgrade it for FREE and, surely, is not our guilty if it rained all May long!
Note that all the rooms are non-smoking, but OBVIOUSLY it is possible to smoke outside, in the garden and in the terrace...so there is the ashtray in the external areas!!!!
When you complained about smoke in the hallway, saturday afternoon, you were the ONLY GUESTS inside the whole hotel. We check the same in the hallway and there wasn't any smell. I can just suppose that someone smoked in the police station wich is down of your terrace and we surely cannot prohibit smoking to neighbors!!!

Regards,
Mario

Our room was small but clean and comfortable with a nice view. They have a small elevator. The hotel is located at the end of a short alley. It is walking distance to the main square in Perugia, plus there are restaurants near the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Good value for the money.

Hotel Signa was recommended by friends and we were not disappointed with its old fashioned charm. We stayed in two rooms, the first was small but extremely comfortable and very clean with a view from the terrace. The other had a lovely big bathroom.
Location excellent for jazz festival and old town.
Mario, family and staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay again.
