2 nights in this hotel

Pros:

- ideal location in centre of Geneva
- despite being central, extremely quiet
- room was clean and comfortable
- helpful, friendly staff
- free, fast wifi
- breakfast was fine

Cons

- there was nothing I could find fault with

Room tip: The higher the room, the more quiet it is.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, two superior rooms, 5th floor. Rooms were a good size, very comfortable, good bedding except for the pillows which I found to be very soft. Though I did not call down to see if there were other options available. The bathroom was a good size, did not feel cramped. It would have been nice to have hair conditioner supplied as well as the shampoo but I had my own. Overall we were quite comfortable in the rooms. Elevator is very small, so we took the stairs a lot but that might not be an option for everyone. Front staff was helpful though some of there information was not correct regarding things open on a Sunday but we figured it out on our own. The restaurant suggestions were fine, one was very expensive with a not so friendly waiter, this is the one where the hotel gives you a voucher for a drink but the food was good and we just ignored the waiter and had our own fun. The next night we went to a fondue restaurant they recommended and really enjoyed it. The one thing I did miss at this hotel was a separate lounge area where you could sit and have a drink. They did offer drinks in the small area right beside the front desk but it was not inviting. Overall a good choice in Geneva, lovely rooms, great location and at a fairly good price considering the city.

We booked into this pretty little hotel when our flight back to London was cancelled. The staff were charming and arranged a late table at the pizza place next door. The hotel was in a grand old style but totally modernised and verging on luxurious. Just 1 block off the river, we enjoyed a lovely walk after dinner and tried not to do impressions of Tiny Tim gazing through the windows of The Four Seasons and a salon de the which looked like it was part of the Hotel Bucharest and sold only macaron!
Returning to our room was bliss. The bathroom was magnificent with a huge bath, separate shower, double sink and lots of lovely toiletries and huge towels and fluffy dressing gowns.
The bedroom was enormous with a huge sleigh bed, beautiful big armoire and literally the best linen, mattress, duvet and pillows we’ve witnessed outside America. Duck down pillows - amazing!
We had the best night’s sleep in a long time and woke refreshed after our stressful previousday at the airport.
The breakfast was continental and plenty of choice. The tea and coffee were superb. We could have asked for omelettes but didn’t. Lovely service from a smiley girl who kept everything spotless.
We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Had a wonderful stay in Feb. Hotel is in a great location, centrally located, close to the train, with numerous restaurants nearby and near the lake. Staff is great, very friendly, all speak English and they went out of there way to help me with all of my small requests like printing a boarding pass on a French language computer or helping with directions or how to use the free public transit.

Hotel is very modern with beautiful bathroom fixtures and shower. Free wifi is also included. Only negative is the rooms are relatively small but not a surprise for Central Geneva. Definitely recommend a room on as high a floor as possible. The room noise is quiet but you do hear some outside street noise.

The breakfast is also really nice, definitely worthwhile getting included with the room considering how expensive Geneva is. It is buffet style with a nice selection of fresh fruit, cereal and pastries. They also will make eggs anyway you like but sometimes you have to ask the server.

Be sure to take advantage of the free train to/from the hotel/airport. Train to the Geneva Station is the first stop, less than 10 min. A taxi is 35 francs and takes more than 15 min and definitely longer during rush hour. The train is also only a a couple blocks from the hotel, an easy walk.
