I got the menu with the sushi plate which was generous and tasted fresh and good, my boyfriend got the udon which was equally generous and lovely. I recommend the home-made and green-tea ice creams for dessert with the green-tea fondant, so good!

As a sushi enthusiast, Geneva can be tough with its steep prices. Sake is just perfect: great quality, size, prices, atmosphere. Love this place, been here 4 times now with my gf and still kicking.

From the very beginning the service is fantastic: the waiter is pleasant and helpful and knows the menu by heart. The servings from an entire menu are all tasty and with different mixes. The price is quite accessible for anyone who wants to try two entrées, one main dish and a dessert with three flavours. Highly recommend it for the cozy atmosphere nearby Carouge.

At Sake they offer a menu including a decent selection of starters like tuna tatar, chicken salad and veggies, miso soup and a main which can be tempura, skewers or sushi for 35 CHF. Even the dessert is included. The quality of the food is very good and they even offer outside seating.

Having quite enjoyed a visit to Sake the first time around (despite quite a long time spent waiting for our food), we decided to give it a second try. And I am afraid the place has lost us. We ended up waiting 2 hours (not an exaggeration) for our food to start arriving (we chose the set sushi menu). When it arrived, the food was not as impressive as I remembered it. For example, sashimi cuts were a bit stale and contained muscle tissue and fat. We were so tired by the time the second sushi set arrived (at 11.30 pm) that we asked it and our chosen deserts to be packed up as a takeaway. The staff was not too apologetic. The verdict: an ok japanese fusion food place (do not expect authentic flavours like in Japan), at a good price, but the waiting time quite literally kills any desire to come here again.
