This is a must try place in Neuchâtel. Classique Brasserie Style with professional staff ( not easy to find in Neuchâtel) and very good food + wines. You can get the classic Fondue but I strongly recommend the "Entrecôte" or any other meat dish. One watchout: It is very very very noisy on weekends.

Went there abt 9ish on a weekday and it was still pretty crowded. Walked in and the staff weren't exactly very prompt in serving (guess it close to closing time) anyway had their mussel pot in white wine and onions. It was ammmmazing! Huge serving and very fresh and yummy. Comes with fries. Goes will with wine. Had a wonderful time with my girlfriend as we sat there till they close.

This is a great typical brasserie type atmosphere with great food and a fantastic decor. Its more upmarket than your typical brasserie but the food is excellent. Have eaten here a few times and every time we have been it has been great.
If you are looking for a quiet place for a tete a tete romantic dinner this is not the place to go but you want a nice lively place you have found it.
The walls a covered in ceramic tiles that are fantastic to see, this building is protected and listed, if you don't want to eat it is worth the visit just have a beer and see for yourself.
The menu has typical brasserie food but also ask for the season specials and try the ham, you will see the old cutting machine in the brasserie.
Will be going back again for certain.
Make certain you reserve if you want a table or come a bit later.

We had lunch here yesterday - a serendipitous find! It looked nothing from the outside, but the food was excellent, the beer and the wine were good, the tarte tatin very enjoyable, and the decor is wonderful! Beautiful old tiles which show various scenes, and have been there since 1906, apparently. We knew we were in for a treat as soon as we walked in, as there were a number of local people there - something we always try to look out for.

Nice ambience, good food and quick service despite a crowded house. I tried the todays menu, beef with greenpepper sauce and glas of local red wine.
