I have been to Gstaad in the off-season, consequently the choice of hotels was not amazing. I decided to stay in the Alphorn which is overall fine. in general i can say that the value for money is delivered, although there are some improvements to be addressed:

- Wifi is not good enough, old fashioned in terms of credential management (paper slips) and them really hard to connect. once connected, the speed performance is louzy
- breakfast is not exciting, really basic and the choice is limited. Not prepared with passion

The room is spacious, although it s full with old furniture (makes all rather antique, not to say dusty). in can imagine to stay there again in case the hotel choice is so narrow again.

This is the most beautiful hotel in Gstaad and staff are friendly with very good and relaxing service. The location is fantastic with lots of activities to do all year round also very close to city centre .

The hotel is a traditional style which although dated was rather quaint.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely with balcony and plenty of room.
The shower over bath was a little issue as it flooded every where.
The breakfast was fabulous with fresh crusty bread and loads of choice. Great coffee and lots of fruit juices.
You walk out of the door onto the sky slope.Great slope for little ones and bigger ones can venture further up mountain.
The main issue that spoilt the hotel for me was that it is a smoking hotel and the corridor stank of cigarettes all the time.
Having said that it was not enough to put me off I would stay there again absolutely.

Stayed here on our first ever visit to gstaad. Our travel agent booked after we asked for a hotel right near the slopes to go snowboarding. It was in a fantastic location, the reception lady was lovely (can't remember her name sorry) and our check in/out was smooth. The room was cosy and not crowded, bathroom was good, although could have done with an exhaust fan but that is the only thing I can pick on. Everything else was great. The restaurant downstairs was really good and the quality of food was great.
There is also a wellness centre downstairs that we were able to use at our own leisure. There is a sauna room, steam room, spa and solarium. It was very peaceful as blocks out any other noise.
We would definitely stay here again!

Celebrating 17years of togetherness @ this beautiful location. We stayed at the Alphorn for 2 nights and I'd highly recommend this hotel. We were welcomed by a lovely manageress who also helped us with some directions to the hotel. Warm & friendly staff who made our visit extra special. From breakfast to dinner, all the staff were highly attentive. The food here is delicious and you can tell that the chef is passionate about his cooking. Clean spacious rooms, breathtaking views, delicious food & friendly staff... what more could one want! Amazing stay and highly recommended place to stay & eat.
