A nice, clean hotel and the staff was very friendly.
We went to Amsterdam for going out, so the fact that you can have breakfast until 1pm was sooooo fantastic!
Moreover the breakfast was very yummy too.

Stayed here for 4 nights, we stayed in the B&B apartment which had just been renovated, it was beautiful. The guys at the main hotel were very friendly and helpful. It's worth mentioning the breakfasts too that are lovely, if you stay, you have to ask for a cheese and ham omelette, incredible!!! Very comfortable beds and there's on demand TV services with a big free selection. I would stay there again.

I stayed here 10-15 years ago and it was ok. But a recent redo and new owners has made it into a very nice place. Klaas could not be more welcoming. The hotel is not permanently staffed - so this is not for a traveler who needs lots of services. But for someone who wants freedom of movement in the historic center of Amsterdam, this is a great place. Gay-friendly.

I wanted to like it. The first floor is so cute and inviting. Service was excellent - but a good nights rest is what it's really all about, and if you are any sort of light sleeper this is your WARNING.

The street seems quiet enough, but it is just a few doors off of Leidsestraat, where night time party folk stream down out of city center all night. Carousing until 4am. You can hear it all. Most of rooms are in front of hotel, as was I in room 8 and windows are thin...had to sleep with my iPod playing. A proper fan giving some white noise would have been very welcome (unit in room broken). Other cons - standard room bath/shower were tiny and could use updating. Smell of unvented sewer gas greets you in the stairwells at all hours- yuck.

On the plus side, location is convenient and breakfast was great...however I will never go back.

Room Tip: front facing rooms (I think 2 of the 3/floor) are the nosiest..

Mind when making your booking that that according to their cancellation policy, that is so well hidden you may not fond it, they will charge you for your booking unless the room is cancelled prior to one month before your arrival!
