We stayed 3 days in canal-view room on upper floor. The staff were helpful carrying luggage up many flights of steep stairs, as no elevator can be installed in this historic building. Our room was comfortable, the views lovely and the proximity to Anna Frank's house and the North Church were real attractions. In every way, the staff were helpful and kind. Breakfast was tasty and attractive. We will use this hotel again until we are too old to mount all those stairs.

This b&b certainly appeared to be one of the best in the City. It is slightly away from the hustle and bustle which is a good thing however within 5 minutes walk of Dam Square. I don't think you could have got a closer hotel to the Anne Frank Museum or the Western Church. All of the buildings in Amsterdam are tall and narrow and so I think they have made the best possible of the space. The rooms have everything you need however if you are of a larger size you may struggle a little. The breakfast is basic but lovely and is made up of croisants/yoghurt/cake/cheese. One word of warning, do not attempt to stay here if you struggle to walk up steep, narrow stairs. The staff there are great on taking your luggage up and down for you but you will need to be able to get up and down yourself and I can see that being a problem for some people. Another thing to think about is that this hotel is on a main road with a tram and appears to be the main route in/out the city. For this reason there is an element of traffic noise up until about 4am during the night.

Stayed at hotel Nadia for 2 nights. Great location had a corner room with canal views and a balcony . Walking distance to Anne Frank , 5 mins, and Dam Square, 10 mins, Red Light ,15 mins.

Staff were wonderful and friendly. Met us at the bottom of the stairs and carried our luggage up and down. Breakfast was OK.

Stairs are very narrow and steep, but knew that from other reviews. Didn't think they would be that steep.Room was 1 of the smallest we have ever stayed in. Bed also was small and it should really be replaced.

If your looking for an economical hotel with great location and a wonderful staff this is it.

The location was beautiful and the double room (with a balcony) was so homely. There was a range of things for breakfast in a beautifully furnished breakfast room. We experienced no problems and every service was functional. The best aspect of this hotel is the warm reception and consistent helpfulness and welcoming attitude of the staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only downside was the stairs up to the hotel which were many and incredibly steep. Not a fantastic idea for children or those who can't manage stairs that well anymore but its definitely worth the climb!
