Everyone has pretty much summed up this hotel already, yes the stairs are steep but if you do your home work this is typical of this type of building in Amsterdam and if you have mobility issues then find somewhere with a lift.

The room was the smallest we have stayed in and basic but clean (we don't expect a 4 star room in a 2 star hotel). The breakfast was good for a city budget hotel and the location was great, not to close to the thick of it all but near enough to get around without a tram / taxi etc (as long as you're mobile). We got the train from/to the the airport at 3.80 euros per person each way and easy to navigate to the city centre, to the hotel and return to the airport.

Overall a good stay with very polite and friendly stay, would return.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts nothing is too much trouble. We took a train from Schipol airport to Centraal Station this was 3.60 euros each and is about a 15 minute trip from the airport to Centraal station. We walked from Centraal station to the Nadia and it took us about 20 mins .The Nadia is located about a 10 mins walk from Dam Square where it all seems to happen. The price for a stay is average for the location. The stairs at Nadia are very very steep but the staff are more than happy to carry your luggage up and down the stairs for you,on arrival you are offered a complimentary drink. The breakfast room is quite small and Nadia offer a continental style breakfast i would highly recommend eating well before you venture out to eat in and around Amsterdam. The price of food and drink has dramatically risen since my last visit a few years ago an average price of a full english breakfast is 9-11 euros.A good tip is buy a tram rover ticket which you can buy 24/48/72 hrs and so on the trams a very frequent and a good way to travel around the city.If you want to do any sightseeing tours the definately check out the ticket and tours shops dotted about they always offer a couple of euros off of the entry price to anything you want to do.If you want to visit Madame Tussauds then its worth a minute walk to the opposite side of Dam square to buy you tickets from a toiurs shop to sace a couple of euros from the entry price.I would definately recommend a stay at The Nadia Hotel but i probably wont go back to Amsterdam as it is so so so expensive to do/eat or drink anything.

I cant rate this hotel highly enough. Fantastic all round and ticks all the boxes: Location, Staff, Friendliness,Comfort, Customer Care, Price, etc.
We arrived in the evening to be given a choice of rooms and to be placed in a beautiful deluxe room overlooking the canal, we were were given a basket of fruit and my wife was presented with a vase of freshly cut flowers.
This hotel is a must for couples looking a relaxing trip away to the beautiful Amsterdam.

We learned that the owner Osama, who we got friendly with on our last trip was very ill and was in hospital. We wish him all our best and a speedy recovery and were sad not to have seen him this trip. Get well soon.

Room Tip: our 1st trip we stayed in 203 this time 413 and i must admit 413 was a great room.

Got to Amsterdam on Saturday 2nd March, and walked from the Central Station to Nadia hotel (took about 10 mins).
As soon as we got there, the guy behind the desk was lovely, he offered us a drink and told us to wait in the breakfast room while they took our bags to the room.
If you arent great with stairs, avoid amsterdam alltogether, as apparently they are taxed on the width of their houses, hence the fact they are all tall and narrow, and the staris are pretty difficult to get up!
The room was small, but its all you need in Dam... To be honest, youre not there for the luxury! It was very clean, and lovely and warm, and you were allowed to smoke :)
One thing, the toilet / shower was tiny, but its hard to get a private bathroom in Amsterdam so I was just happy with a toilet that only we were using! the bathroom was more of a wet room, but it was fine.
Its literally a 5 minute walk from Dam Square, so thats a massive plus, especially after a visit to the coffee shops. Go to the Bulldog! :D
Check out was 11am, and we paid £70 each for the hotel for two nights. so £140 for two nights in a nice hotel by the square with lovely staff - brilliant!

Already booking for september!

Room Tip: The trams outside are slightly noisy at night, but i think the canal view rooms might be better x
