The description of the Tweede Marnixplaan studio apartment in the AirB&B site is accurate.
The studio is situated in Jordaan, easily accessible by tram and is about 20m walk from the center of the city. The vicinity is pleasant, nearby are 2 of the prettiest canals in Amsterdam. Restaurants and shops are not far away.
The room quiet, is quite large, easily accommodating a couple. Room and bathroom were very clean and well taken care of. It is well furnished and equipped with all the basic utensils. The studio is on 4th floor, reached by winding, relatively for an old Dutch house, easy steps.
The owner, Hans, was helpful, courteous and communicative. He lives a floor below.
We stayed there 7 pleasant nights and recommend the place unhesitatingly.
The apartment is very nice, clean, fully equipped, and we had everything we needed.
There is a view to the canal, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
The host, Hans, was communicative and helpful. He even agreed that we'll stay at the apartment until the evening of the last day.
The only problem was that the apartment is on the 4th floor, without elevator, with very narrow and steep steps.
Enjoyed our stay in Marnix studio it was perfect for us. The situation was excellent being close to good transport links and the city centre attractions. Hans was pleasant and helpful especially helping with our cases up and down the steep staircases.
The traffic can get a little noisy outside at night but we felt that was to be expected in the central location.
Good location. Restaurants, shops, cafes, bars is in 5min walking distance. All most visiting places of Amsterdam you can easily walk in 20-30 min. Public transportation just in front of house. Very helpful and kind host. Apartments are not huge, but really very nice, clean and big enough for a couple. You can find here everything you need, and if you miss something, you can always ask the owner!
Marnix Studio is a delightful apartment located at the outer reaches of Jordaan
which we thought the best district in Amsterdam, with varied sights and good restaurants, within a short walk. Express bus to Schipol, 10 minutes walk away, was added bonus.
The bed was very comfortable and the facility offered all the basics for a short stay.
We found a few small issues which we took up with the owner, Hans, who helped us with the luggage on the steep stairs . This is not a spot for disabled people to stay as on third floor. Nick
