If you want to really try Dutch food in Rotterdam, this is the place. Now, if you are not from the Netherlands, do a bit of research before on what Dutch food is, because it's not really one of the most interesting or great cuisines out there. Nevertheless, the menu is pretty broad and you will still find something you like in most cases (I guess everyone likes schnitzel, right? that might be a saver).
The prices here are good considering it's a sit-down type of place with waiters and a (informal) restaurant atmosphere rather than an eetcafe/pub one. The meatballs are 4-7 euros, the sandwiches quite the same and the "non-meatball" main courses 10-15 euros. There is a wide variety of snacks, omelettes, sandwiches and, of course, meatballs. Meatballs here are said to be very good, but I don't eat meatballs, so I can't say from my own experience. When I was at Ballentent recently I had the stew and it was tasty and only 9.5 euros. The service was good.
Overall, good place to have a decently priced hot meal!
