We stayed here for the Rotterdam Marathon. the location was excellent, just a 10 minute walk from the start line(took a little longer to cover the same route post race!!)
Via the Santa Claus Statue and to the main city area.
We chose this hotel because it had triple family rooms. The room was basic and a little dated, but as it's not part of a chain had real character. We had more space in our room to circulate in than friends in a double in the Holiday Inn Express.
The 3rd bed folded out and my daughter was happy not to be sleeping on a put me up as she usually does when we travel.
We had a wet room type shower which was fine. The location was a residential street which was very quiet and away from the bars and restaurants round the corner.
The corridor from the stairs (which were very steep esp after running a marathon!) was rather narrow.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we took the recommendation of the lady on duty on Friday evening and had a lovely meal in Ciao which was round the corner int he next street- another local, independant restaurant.

Breakfast was a continental spread and had plenty of choice and was very inviting. They also put on an early breakfast for the runners taking part in the race on Sunday.

You had to leave the room key which was fine and ring the bell to get back in, but as there was 24 hr cover, not an issue and infact made it more secure as they controlled who went in and out.

Overall, a good value, basic and budget hotel which provided for our needs as a base to explore the city and to stay in. Would definitely consider using this hotel again in the future.

We chose Hotel Breitner as it seemed to have a good benefit/price ratio and this was a good prediction. We had an economic double room which was (expectedly) a little bit small but fine for two nights. The staff was nice and helpful. Buffet breakfast was better than expected (cold alternatives and fried/boiled eggs, fruits, cereals etc.). Location is close to the center and walkable to the central train station.

Room Tip: Economic rooms are cheaper, smaller and fine for a short stay. But if you have many bags choose a standart room.

Amazing week in Rotterdam!
This kind of hotel is perfect for all people that are looking for a typical and simple hotel that it's really close to the station.
The reception and all staff were always available and helpful.

Room Tip: typical and quite place

Booked this hotel as I was travelling with a male friend and we needed separate rooms. This hotel offered single rooms for £38.50 a night each. I had never stayed in Rotterdam before but from the map the hotel had looked easy to reach it was and by the end of the trip we realised that it was a really great location. You are right next to several tram stops, round the corner from the famous Santa Claus statue and close to lots of bars. The shopping centre is walking distance if the weather is nice too. The rooms were clean and pleasantly decorated although the hotel in general was a bit dated that really was not an issue to us. You had to leave your keys at reception but as it was open 24 hrs that was also not an issue and we didn't have to worry about losing them! I slept really well but we did not have breakfast there so I cannot comment on that. Overall a good stay and a great location.

A small but nice hotel. Good location, close to tram stop. We had a budget room, small but equipped with what you need except for something to put your luggage on. The room was clean and the beds were very good. The personnel was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Nice breakfast to which we could order fried or scrambled egg. The personnel even run to the nearby shop to buy lactose free milk.
