Had some scrumptious poached eggs with avocado and yummy truffle mayonnaise (special) on toast for breakfast. Accompanied by a large cappuccino, which is served on a cute little wooden tray with some water and a tiny piece of cake. Perfect for a Monday morning breakfast when enjoying our holidays in the homeland! Great place!

While the food and beverages were outstanding, the waitress running the shift at that day was lacking a little something to create a completely friendly atmosphere. She seemed a bit annoyed.

Just a quiet and lovely place to have a breakfast, the food is very good and the coffee is so tasty .. You can park your car and go walking the area is very beautiful. People are so nice and serving at the café is perfect. It wasn't crowded when we went.

There is no variety of food but they have the basic food that anyone can order for breakfast
I highly recommend it ..

The lady who was serving today at 9:30 am. 19th July was very friendly and fast. Lots of thanks to her

This small spot was sold to me as the expat cafe when I first moved to the Zeeheldenkwartier but every time I have gone there is a mixture of both locals and expats eating and drinking here.

It is true that the service is the fastest, but that is typical in most Dutch restaurants. But the servers are friendly when they do arrive to clear tables or take your order. The spot is quite small and can be quite busy so you may indeed have to wait a while.

There is a menu as well as daily specials. The last time I had the special juice - coconut with pineapple and the daily quiche. Both were tasty. My mother had the French toast and she did wish she had also ordered a side of bacon.

The food is cooked fresh.

This isn't a tourist trip, but authentic local cooking in a city that seems built for tourism. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the journey if you are looking for home cooking for breakfast. The coffee is fantastic! I couple of items to be aware of if you decide to go. It's local which means find a table and sit. The food is freshly prepared so you may to wait longer than usual, but it is worth it. Bottom line, don't go if you are in hurry. Sit, talk, drink, eat and most importantly ENJOY!
