Exquisite lunch, a must if you are in the area or worth the trip if you are not.
I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant.
The quality of the food and the service are legendary.
The decoration is weet and there are tons of menus signed by VIPs who visited the restaurant.
It is tiny and may be hard to find if you are new here, but well worth every euro you spend here.

Consistent, in a good manner. I've experienced 5 business lunches here over the past decade, and each time we had an enjoyable experience based on really fresh ingredients.

Served by a new waiter we were offered the menus in Japanese, can happen. Quickly corrected and menus given in French, English/Dutch not available. Good choice of menus and individual items. Service attentive, however the coffee I ordered I cancelled after 15 min and asked for the bill. Food was well presented and each time explained what was and which sauce to use etc. Certainly for those not often visiting a Japanese restaurant a nice encounter.

Prices indeed high. We had a bottle of Sancerre, many time a most expensive item was this time the cheapest. Looking at the location, ambiance and little mistakes, not worth the money. But fabulous food experience. Unfortunately nowadays it comes down to more than the food quality alone.

Atmosphere and service is very good and food is ok, but no reason for extraordinary high prices. The starters were much better than the main dishes. One positive remark: prices for drinks were reasonable which is not always the case in Brussels. I will definitely eat my next noodle soup at a different location.

Samourai is considered by many to be the best Japanese restaurant in Brussels.
I don't know about that, but it's for sure a typical place, serving very good, fresh and quality food.
The restaurant is located in an uninspiring rundown 'shopping mall' in a downtown street that is undergoing upgrading, and there something old fashioned about the restaurant itself too. It's not a design or trendy place, with lots of lights and flashy service.
The service can vary from good to annoying, with waiters having zero flexibility and caring little about your requests.
I have been there several times the last years, most of the time upon invitation from a client who likes going there, and the lunch box, which we take almost always, is a good deal (endamame, miso soup, 4 different small dishes/boxes and plain white rice).
Eating a la carte is a good alternative if you want to explore the many typical dishes they serve.
Prices are rather high.
It's a restaurant with a very own personality, and is appreciated by business people and Japan lovers.
