This is a fantastic hotel just blocks from all the important things to see in old town. Family owned, perfect English speaking, knowledgable staff, large rooms, the Jr. Suites have large soaking tubs. Typical breakfast buffet but with the addition of al a cart eggs and waffles. Front rooms overlook the canal.

Room Tip: Front room have the best view.

We arrived at this hotel after our wedding and just wanted to relax in the beautifull city of Gent.
Staff is very friendly, hotel grounds clean and well maintained. We had room nr 33 which was overlooking the swimming pool. Upon entering the room, they had champagne, candles and red roses for us, so nice and what a personal touch!!

The room is great, clean and has all the amenities you need. Wifi is good and if there's something you need.... they will bring it to your room with no extra charge. Breakfast was delicious, a lot to choose from and once again.. if there is anything you need? Staff will take care of it!!

The location can't be better, staff is the best... we will come back here!!
p.s. if you have a large car (station of SUV) don't use their parking garage, it is convenient but very small.

We asked for a room facing the canal at the Hotel Harmony and received a nice room on the top floor - meaning sloped ceiling and the window was in the ceiling. It did have a nice view out over the canal and Ghent. The room's walls and carpet were black, and black bedcover so a bit dark for me, but the room was updated with sliding glass mirrors on the doors and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Low platform type king size bed which had good mattress. The location of the Hotel Harmony is excellent as it is near the center of the historic area of Ghent. Quiet at night for sleeping; a few blocks from the tram that takes you back to the train station. The breakfast was superb; lots of fresh fruit, excellent breads and homemade granolas and yogurts. A wait person took an order for eggs, also, or other hot items. Also ham, cheese, etc. We were able to rent bikes at the hotel also.

Room Tip: Looking over the canal is fun; I just wish our room had been on one of the floors with a regular ceiling and not in the attic.

Although we were on a cycling holiday from Zeebrugge, I do like to travel in some style and I certainly made the best decision on booking this hotel. We arrived during extremely heavy rain, leaving puddles in our wake in the coridors. The manager Bram, couldn't have been more helpful. I had to ask for our clothes to be put into the tumble dryer as the bike panniers had leaked and in addition to our wet clothing our only coats had got drenched on the 4 hour cycle ride. Whilst waiting for our coats to dry out we took advantage of having a bottle of cava sent to the room and watched the thunder and lightening from the luxury of our very large bath (see photo). The room type was called 'exceptional' and lived up to its title, very roomy and comfortable with a terrace overlooking the canal. It would be a great viewpoint when the festivals are on during summer.

I must also mention the breakfast, we are both following a SHIRT diet and was very surprised to find all the keys ingredients available when we went down. Well done, would love to visit again.

Room Tip: We had room 31

3 family members had 3 rooms in this lovely hotel in Ghent. Our stay could not really have been better, great rooms, very friendly staff and good breakfast. Two nights and we had a sizeable bill! Left thinking it had been worth it. However I left my wash bag, so I called and asked them to post it back to me in England. They said they would but I had to pay 16euros. So I did it arrived safely but I was surprised when we had spent as much as we had that they didn't just send it back, strange I felt and a real shame.
