The Flanders is nestled on a side street very close the the town centre. Our room was bright, clean and contemporary with comfortable beds and a decent bathroom. The hotel enjoys a small indoor swimming pool which our children loved. The Flanders ticks all the boxes for what you want from a hotel. The bar is lovely and the restaurant looked nice but we didn’t eat breakfast so I can’t comment on the standard of the food. A great place to stay and explore Brugge without breaking the bank.

We travelled to Bruges in January and stayed at the Flanders hotel. The rooms were small but had everything you needed, very comfy beds and there was no noise from other rooms or guests. The pool was a nice touch, however slightly cold, but still a nice treat after a days walking around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Flanders and would definitely recommend.

Very friendly , accommodating staff on reception . Room was warm , bed cosy . Only criticism is that there was no soap in the room nor any milk to put in my tea .. Melissa in the bar was very friendly and made us delicious bespoke cocktails ..also complementary hot Belgian nibbles were handed out .. she is an asset to the hotel .

Nice place - clean and friendly. With this hotel, you get what you paid for - it’s clean and comfortable - it’s not luxury, but we didn’t pay for that. Swimming pool kept the teenagers amused .....

Stopped for one night on the 3rd February 2018.

Positives - Hotel close to centre, nice decor through out.

Negatives – Noise. We were on the 1st floor and our walls seemed paper-thin.
Doors closing very loud when people returning to their rooms and had the misfortune of what I assume was a drunk banging on his door for quite a while in the middle of the night before he was let in.

Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and desperately needed a grout.

Bed not comfortable although we both appreciate that’s peoples own preferences.
Pillows – Only one each – I don’t want to waste my time ringing reception to get extra when a spare at the very least could be saved in the wardrobe.

Milk – The hotel room has a kettle, tea and coffee but no milk – again a little thing but which should be there to avoid wasting the client’s time.

Feedback – When checking out they asked how our stay was but when I tried to give feedback didn’t seem to care.

People might think i’m being picky but I think if you paying a premium for one night, its the least you should expect, especially a good night sleep and therefore this is reflected in my review.
