It's not often that you find staff at a hotel so bought in to the business but everyone we dealt with at Hotel Boterhuis was magnificent. They were friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasure. They even did our laundry for a very reasonable fee. When we turned up we found that they had allocated the room we had requested even though originally they said it was booked. Wow!! When I asked what had changed they replied that they went out of their way to meet customer requests. Our room was a ripper, spacious, big comfy bed, had heaps of character and had a big well appointed bathroom as well. Breakfast was really good and again the brekky staff were great. I loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay.

Our 2nd visit to this hotel. We were not disappointed. Such a lovely welcome from the team. They couldn't have been kinder when one of our parties were a little poorly. Whilst not on the square it is central to get to everywhere with just a few minutes walk.
The rooms are different from other places you may visit with them all being different which makes for the charm of the place.

3 of us (all adults) just spent the weekend in Bruges and stayed here. The location is perfect and quite.
The room was huge which was great so was the bathroom.
Very clean and everything we needed.
Breakfast was simple yet yummy
Would stay again

Room Tip: Room 2 is a great size

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. Located close to the center of town but on a quiet street. The front desk was very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a triple and the room was huge as well as the bathroom. There was lots of storage for all our stuff. The included breakfast was fresh and very tasty and held in a sunny room. We has an early morning train on the morning of our departure and the owner/manager came in early to make sure we had breakfast before we left. Who does that anymore? Unbelievable! Very highly recommended.

This was my first time to Bruges and wow was I impressed.
The hotel which is situated not far from the main market square was an ideal place to stay for those who are looking for somewhere that is close to the Christmas cheer of Mulled Wine and Belgium waffles but far enough away that you can still have a good nights sleep.
Upon arriving at the hotel in the evening we were greeted by the reception guy who checked us in and then took us round to the car park which is totally secure and very reasonably priced at 14euro a night.
The room at the hotel was basic but had everything that we needed and had a large bathroom which suited us completely. Lots of hot running water for baths and showers.
Breakfast was lovely. Plenty to eat and drink and they cooked your eggs to order. They even had gluten free bread for myself. Fellow Coeliacs can understand how hard it can be to find decent bread and the stuff they had was great.

I would recommend this hotel for families with children that are able to climb the spiraling stairs which lead to the first floor so anyone with toddlers may struggle a little bit.
