From the moment we walked through the door and met the friendly, smiling and helpful receptionist we knew it would be a good weekend. The rooms were exceptionally clean if a little small but no complaints from us. Some interesting and varied choices for breakfast all very well presented.
We shall be going for certain next year as it's our favoured hotel in Ostend.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the front of the building seem lighter but none are bad.

This is a small family-run hotel comprising 27 rooms including a junior suite and a family suite. It is very conveniently situated, within walking distance to the beach, promenade, port and local restaurants. It is situated in a narrow street so there is no major traffic, hence quiet. Breakfast was decent, including scrambled eggs, bacon, hams, cheeses, plus the standard continental vienoiseries. The junior suite was very nicely appointed with plenty of space. The bedding was of good quality. Toiletries are provided and the shower was very good indeed. On the 7th floor there is a tiny fitness room, with 3 different “machines” but it would only be practical for 1 person at a time. The solarium was out of order . There is also a small terrace with two sun loungers and a small table and two chairs. Not much of a view mind you. All in all this is a very good address to take note of.

Parking in front of the hotel is limited to 20 minutes. This would normally allow you to carry your luggage into the hotel, check in and then drive to a near-by car park. Unfortunately, 9/10 there is no space to park since the hotel has no designated parking area. Upon request you can arrange paid underground parking about a 10 minute walk away which is well-worth it. I would not hesitate returning to this delightful hotel.

Room Tip: It is worth paying the extra for the junior suite.

We have just come back from a lovely weekend in Ostend and stayed here for 3 nights. Every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful and the quality of breakfast was first class with a wide selection to cover all tastes. The rooms were excellent and very clean and well equipped.
The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the railway station, 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins the other way to the park. Everything is close by and very easy to get anywhere.
Loved it, and would definitely stay here again. Well done to everyone who work at the hotel you do a top class job.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor so nice and quiet. Four poster bed too!

Nice Hotel, very friendly staff, breakfast ok.
Just rooms are rather small (Single room)
It is possible to find a parking in the are to avoid expensive parking.
At least small minn bar which you do not have too often in Oostende hotels.

Room Tip: Better have a room to the street!

We have stayed many times in various hotels in Ostend, which we love, but this was the first time in de Hofkamers. It is now our favourite. It's a small boutique style hotel with about 25 rooms situated between the park and the sea so easy to walk everywhere. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a safe and large tv which had all the main UK channels. There was good WIFI throughout the hotel. The breakfast was great with a huge choice of hot and cold plus champagne (not just cheap bubbly). The staff on reception and in the restaurant were all very friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.
The Ostend boat show was on at the time our visit so it was very busy everywhere. The weather was wonderful and the room was a little bit warm as there is no airconditioning. That would be our only criticism. There are a coupl of rooms on the top floor with balcony and a small terrace on the 7th floor.

Room Tip: 6th floor rooms have balcony.
