On a positive note staff at receipt ion lovely and it's in a great location for centre of Ostend. However it's all a little disappointing from there. A basic room and breakfast, whilst I don't mind a continental there was little choice(bread roll was very good). I must assume all the floors were as ours, laminate which ment noise from above. Did ask for a double bed but was given a room where two single beds were pushed together, had to ask for extra pillows in fairness they were brought promptly, and although bathroom was warm our bedroom was not. I agree with a previous review this hotel did not add to the experience. On another note we went for winter market - however this year there wasn't one, they had simply made the ice rink a feature so had to go to Brugge instead, extremely disappointed as the Christmas market was the reason we stayed in Ostend.

Room Tip: We had room two which had a part view of the sea

Hotel du Parc provides a very good service in a confortable environment . The hotel is located in the very city centre within walking distance of the beach . It has old charm appeal and offers quality for decent prices . Rooms are confortable and staff is helpfull and responsive . A good place to relax and enjoy the best of this Belgian seaside resort.

If you're into art deco & the seaside, Ostend's Hotel Du Parc is a must see. But perhaps you should consider spending your money in the bistro, instead of the hotel.
I feel the hotel didn't add to the experience. The rooms are clean, but a bit outdated..
The breakfastroom was way too small, since the hotel was fully booked, and the breakfast itself was a bit meager. All in all it was pretty crowed in general, maybe that's clouding my judgement?
On the upside: the staff is friendly and the sea is just around the corner!

We went here for a meal as recommended by one of our guide books but were quite disappointed. For "Art Deco" read tired. It is a shame as there are some great features to be brought into the 21st century. The lunch menu is as old as the decor looks and there were one or two issues with the meal;
1. One pot of tea was only half full and we asked for it to be filled; it wasn't.
2. In a nice place when you are served bread I haven't been served processed, sliced bread since eating in a chip shop in Cleethorpes.
3. The omelettes we had were OK but a little undercooked.
4. As with the tired decor some pots were chipped and looked like they had seen better days.

Don't get me wrong, I love Art Deco and authenticity, which there is some of but this doesn't allow a place to be living in the 70's.

The interior of the bar and the restaurant is not to be missed. Nearly everything is still in good shape, decorations, letterings, chairs, tables, furniture, ... All in art deco style. No idea how the rooms look on the higher levels, probably they were renewed through the years.
Don't get fooled by the rather basic menu. A filter coffee is not a plastic recipient on top of your cup but an original plated filter!
Service is impeccable.
