Marble Lake Cottage was the perfect place for our family. We love to cook so the `kitchen with almost everything`` was just what we needed. No need to bring a thing except for perhaps a crock pot. Huge deck is great for viewing the lake, barbecuing, and enjoying the evening campfire. Marble Lake is amazing. Great place for kids as water entry is very shallow for a long distance out into the lake. Quiet at night even on the July 1st weekend. Only concern is how fast the traffic passes by. Watch your children and pets carefully. Canoe is wonderful! Enjoy...oh yes, and Dave is an excellent host who really wants you to enjoy his ``Camp David``. Thanks Dave!
David was very helpful and reached out to us a few days before our trip to make sure directions to the cottage and all instructions on how to obtain the key were provided to us. He stopped by the morning after we arrived to check whether we're comfortable and got everything we need. He even gave us the pleasure of playing some piano pieces that he was learning through his lessons! It was inspiring to see a retired man who still pursues learning. The best part is, he even taught me a simple piano piece that we played together for my family to watch (like a mini recital!) after 15 minutes of lessons! Haha! He also introduced us to his neighbour Doug who would have taken us boating for a small fee if only it didn't rain the following day. All in all, we had a great time at David's cottage and built great family memories! The only thing I didn't like is that the water at the cottage has iron. I know it's not harmful and not anyone's fault as it's normal for cottages close to the water. David provided more than enough drinking water for us that we were able to use as well to wash our faces. ;)
This cottage is very well equipped and has everything that you would possibly need for your comfortable stay. We used bbq a couple of times which was very handy. The best park is living room with a wood burning stove and wrap around big windows so you can enjoy the view and the trees and have an impression that you are part of the nature.
Location is excellent, just 15 minutes from Bon Echo Provincial Park.
Owner is a great person. He gave us the tour of the property, was just txt or phone call away if we needed anything.
Thank you for letting us stay at your nice and cozy cottage!
