There's something about eating and having the view of the beach and the crashing waves right near you. For one dinner and three breakfasts while at Carlisle Bay we chose to go to Indigo on the Beach as The Mister doesn't eat sushi so dining at East didn't make sense for us.

One of our breakfast meals he ordered off menu options trying a little from one dish and a little from other dish that was offered on the menu. One breakfast I couldn't eat at all. It wasn't their fault, just tasted average so I decided to save room for our lunch while we were out that day.

We always either tried the juice of the day or the smoothie of the day. I always grabbed fruit from the cold buffet and had a pot of fresh mint tea to start my day.

In the evening at the dinner we had the catch of the day with tropical salsa and a dish of roasted island vegetables.

If you are traveling with children, you'll want to know that it seemed that children were welcome at any time to dine with their families.

We have stayed at Carlisle Bay twice in the past four years. An outstanding location and views with a very good service with a smile. Fantastic breakfast too many choices on food and drinks hot or cold. The hotel has four restaurant's for dinner we have always preferred Indigo for the service, the choice ,the quality, the presentation and the location and view. The cost of wine is on the high side, the house wines are fine especially the Rose wine.

If you are staying at Carlisle Bay then this is where breakfast is served - great setting and a fantastic breakfast!

The lunch was not great and was expensive. A bottle of water was around $10 (but you got free water on the beach), a coke was $5 (compared to the $1 dollar in the room) and the prawn salad had only 4 or 5 prawns and was mostly lettuce ...

We didn't eat dinner here as when we arrived on Sunday at the restaurant it was only when we sat down that we were informed it was a US $65 per person buffet ... so we ordered room service instead which was fun.

Great location, great service and great food. One word of caution, keep an eye on those prices; they are heading towards - we'll give that a miss for the one on the next beach!

We had lunch at the restaurant so that we could use the beach. The food was delicious but more expensive than it appears to be when you look at the menu on the website. I had pasta which was 25 Usd. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed using the sun beds which are well shaded. The beach was very empty. I wouldn't go again because it was so expensive but I really enjoyed the experience.
