At the beginning they have this strange habbit of taking the menu away so you dont understand whats going on....
After you order paio, cheese, pijama and red wine and its “full circle”

Only thing standing from perfect ending is expresso and aguardente vinica or vinho do porto.

This is a typical Portuguese restaurant, right across from the castle. It serves pork and lots of it, if you are into pork. Most dishes are meat dishes and they don't come with many veggies. The pork was excellent and the location is great.

Lovely authentic atmosphere with a mix of Portuguese and international travellers when I visited. Helpfull waiter recommended the pluma from the menu. Best pork I have ever had though avoid if you like your meat lean! Excellent salad helped balance it.

Good food at reasonable prices. Good wine list - as you would expect in Alentejo. Attentive staff - good service.

Beside the good food, we ate the mixed grill pork. We had really good explanation of the waiter. Young guy with a lot of knowledge.
