My best friend and I completed our backyard tour this August and we can honestly say not only was it the highlight of our trip to the Algarve, but also the highlight of our travels this year.

Marli and Eric were exactly what we expected and more. After scrolling for hours on trip advisor planning how to make the most of our stay in Luz, we stumbled across their advert and couldn't quite believe the reviews. I read through review after review and was BLOWN AWAY. Over the phone, I screamed at my best friend "I HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT THING". We decided that Backyard tours HAD to be the number one thing we did - and we certainly were right.

As two busy business owners, we knew that Backyard tours would be the perfect way to unwind, to let go and reconnect. To not only have met two incredible people, who remind us all about the goodness in the world but to have met new friends for life.

Can’t speak highly enough of Marli and Eric’s warmth, and passion for their beautiful country. We were two solo travelers who did the hike when I visited. We saw many varied landscapes and had the most beautiful sunset picnic on the last beach — all homemade! Definitely recommend booking with Backyard Tours.

We had such a great day with Marli and Eric exploring the Algarve. They took us on hikes to the most amazing places where we could swim and explore. We wouldn’t have found these places on our own. They were both very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. We finished the day with a delicious home cooked picnic at sunset. Communication and organisation was excellent, they made it very easy picking us up from our hotel. We really enjoyed our time with them and cannot recommend highly enough!
