The hosts, Monique and Jack, are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice, have a beautiful view and the garden is a true paradies. If you ask for dinner in advance they will try to cook for you and the other guests one night. It is absolutely worth it as they are outstanding cooks using only regional products, many of them out of their garden. Breakfast is lovely and everything they do and serve is full of details and love. It is a quiet and magnificent spot you should not miss. Plus, they have the best tips and are happy to share their insights and experiences.

In principle this is a nice accommodation with clean rooms in a beautiful garden and an impressive view on Sao Jorge and the ocean. The very good Breakfast (no buffet) is served in the building next door where the two owners are living but there are some disadvantages you need to consider: 1) There is no wifi available in the rooms, they just have a spot outside near the place where breakfast is served, but the signal is not strong enough to reach the rooms 2) The location of Piedade on the island is rather remote (on the east end). To visit the interesting places on Pico you have to drive large distances. To get to Madalena for example takes over one hour. In addition there is no restaurant nearby, the closest one is about 10min by car. 3) The rooms are all next to each other with a nice patio in front of them. In case you get the room in the beginning you need to expect that all other guests will walk along your room, which means reduced privacy and some noise. We had the room at the end which was quiet nice and quiet, but had the disadvantage that the bathroom was separate. 4) With 95€ per night for a double room this was the most expensive lodging during our 2 weeks stay on the Azores. At other places we received more for less money. In summary we would check out some other guest house if we would ever came back to Pico.

Friendly people. Great atmosphere. Beautifully relaxed. The one evening meal we had there was fantastic. Breakfasts were wonderful, all home produced fare. Very individual place. If this is your style you'll love it. If you like the average chain hotel - probably not for you...

A paradise on earth to relax! Pico is a lovely place and this hotel offers everything, trimmed until the last detail. Beautiful rooms with comfortable balconies to enjoy your wine while you staring the view. But the most importand is the hospitality you feel from your first time of your arrival, when the owners will invite you to drink wine together, just like your friends when you visit them at their home. The breakfast -with a different menu every day- always well cooked and delicious. Your accommodation there will be a very "sweet" memory!!!!!!!!

This is the ideal place to stay in Pico if you want warm hospitality, beautiful ocean views, nature on your doorstep, nice short walks, peace and quiet, a good drink on the balcony before dinner, amazing breakfasts made with so much love (different breakfast menu every day!) and some beautiful classical music coming from the kitchen. We were there on our honeymoon and it was perfect in every way. (except if you're after nightlife, perhaps not ideal, but a few nice restaurants a short drive away). God I want to be back there now!
