It might cost more than other hotels in Portugal, but it's totally worth it. And after all, Lisbon is a pretty cheap place, by costing more I mean more or less $100/night. The hotel and staff provide a luxury experience, not to mention their breakfast, which includes all kinds of pastry (but no nata/tart, too bad) and hot items. They also serve smoked salmon and sparkling wine.

I can't say enough about how much I love the hotel and the wonderful staff. The room was beautiful with large mirror with tv inside. Large bathroom very modern. Wow, best location to go about the city. Nice breakfast, worth it, the only other thing I should mention is if your a light sleeper you will hear the train. Get a tour of the private wine cellar a must

Booked for a one night stay before flying out the next day. It is close to the airport 20 minutes basically a straight drive with 3 gas stations on the way. It is located on a short narrow street that is one way. It is close to lots of activities to get out and walk around and fell safe. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable hear the subway that runs under the hotel but it must stop or slow down early and start later in the morning. The off street parking is under ground of the hotel behind Hotel Portugal which is a challenge to maneuver around if it full tight corners that you need to do 3 point turns but better than street parking.

Room tip: Find the deals that include off street parking and buffet breakfast

We were a bit skeptical when trying to find the hotel on the street but upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised !! It was amazing ! It's in a perfect spot for sight seeing. The doorman and Reception staff couldn't have been more Welcoming. The check in clerk walked us up to our luxurious room and explained every feature of the room. She even gave us sight seeing information and gave warnings about being safe in Lisbon (as in any City). We received lovely complimentary toiletries, housecoats, slippers, wine, chocolates and bedtime cookies/water. Room was exceptionally quiet (#409). If quiet is a requirement then ask for a quiet room when you make a booking. We never heard a peep from Neighbors or any other hotel sounds except the subway under the building. Every 20 mins we could hear it slightly but it never bothered us. It never kept us awake. It was nothing like some airport hotels I've been to where I never slept at all due to the noise. The room was exceptionally clean, beds perfect and sheets silky soft. The complimentary buffet breakfast was delectable - & it even had champagne. The bathtub was the size of a hot tub so we thought 4 people could fit easily. It wouldn't be easy for anyone with slight restricted mobility issues to enter/exit because it is high but the shower was awesome. Beds were very comfortable. We booked through Hotels.com & got a crazy low price that also included parking. Parking is underground but be warned it's not for the faint of heart. We've never seen such narrow and cramped driving aisle ways. When driving in there were several times my husband had to back up several times to get around corners & tryst me hat's he's a very experienced driver. We had to laugh because we've never seen anything like it. I wish I'd taken pics. We thought they originally made it for donkeys..! We had a slightly larger car then the normal European smart car type cars. They would fit fine. Parking is restricted by a doorman who checked the parking voucher with the front desk before allowing us entry. The hotel is very close to the downtown tourist sites and about 10 min drive to the airport. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Room tip: As for a higher floor if you are are at all worried about the subway underground.
