Stayed here with my husband and my 2 year old twice on this trip. For us, those two stays at this hotel were incredible, and here's why;
- LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
- Very very warm welcome
- Easy check in and check out
- Superb service (security personnel, front desk, concierge, room service, lobby and bar staff, breakfast staff and spa staff) They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible
- Spotless clean rooms and bathrooms
- Comfortable beds and pillows
- Rooms at this hotel are quite small in size, but convenient (I would have appreciated an iron in the room though)
- Yummy breakfast - with incredible views! (would have loved some maple syrup with my pancakes)
- Great spa facilities (indoor pool included)
*Early breakfast can be arranged if requested (it's a plate of pastries, croissants and cake with a coffee jug)

The second time we checked in at this hotel, we were given a room on the 7th floor, VIP wifi and a coupon for a complementary drink at the bar on the 10th floor.
They do know how to take good care of their guests (especially return ones).

We couldn't fault the hotel. We will be returning soon!
From the three of us and THE PIG - a very biiig thank you :)

I would highly recommend staying in the center of town for seeing the sights of Athens. The Electra Metropolis sits on the edge of the old Plaka district and boasts beautiful views of the Acropolis from its rooftop restaurant and from some of the rooms. It was built only some 4 years ago, the staff is pleasant if not always very effective, and the rooms are well equipped though rather small.

WE styed at the Electra Metropolis hotel for few days. the hotel is centrally located yet quite. The restaurant for breakfast, drinks and dinner overlooks the Acropolis and the view is stunning.
Best of all, I lost my phone in a taxi. The hotel staff could not be more helpful in locating the taxi and getting my phone back. They all worked as one to help me. I recommend this hotel full heartedly.

Hotel wasn’t perfect but they were pretty close. I’d definitely stay here again for another Athens stay. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and they surprised us with flowers and a gigantic mousse cake. Not sure how they expected two people to finish that.

Location:
The hotel is convenient with the shopping area around the corner and plaka district around another corner. Acropolis entrance is a 10min walk away if you walk slowly. There is an awesome gelato place literally across the street. There are also some good restaurants in the area. We were a fan of nolan.

Staff:
Staff was friendly and helpful. Some weren’t as polished as you’d expect but their heart is in the right place and they will get there. One gripe is the lack of money exchange onsite but there are shops close by. When we were there, the moneygram store near the mcdonalds had the best rates and not the blue no ‘commission’ ones. One person at the hotel referred the no commission ones for convenience but the moneygram one was an extra 30second walk.
Rooms:
Our room was clean and well furnished. There was a nice tv and bed was comfortable. There was not enough space to keep all of our luggage open and walk around but thats a normal hotel issue. The bathroom was good and clean as well.

Food:
The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious with views of the acropolis. The bar at night had nice views of acropolis as well but it gets crowded at the bar. Alcohol seemed a little pricey. The hotel pool on the roof can get crowded as there are only about 20 loungers.

Great hotel for a moderate price.

The Electra Metropolis is close to all of the sites of Athens. The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast was very basic with not a lot of choice especially in terms of fruit. The views from the rooftop are amazing though! The only downside of our stay was how busy the pool was. After a day of sightseeing everyone wanted to relax by the pool. For such a large hotel there were only a handful of deck chairs so if you plan of relaxing by the pool, make sure you get there early.
