Great rooftop bar that looks straight to the acropolis! stunning at night and great bar with cheap prices. Rooms are clean and well appointed very reasonably priced. You can walk from the train station it is around 10 minutes and well located to everything.

Room Tip: We didn't really stay in our room only to sleep so not sure of views but were very happy with lo...

We spent 3 nights in the Plaka Hotel, and I can't have imagined staying anywhere else. The location was ideal, everything you want to do in Athens is just a short walk away. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was nice, and the rooftop bar was incredible (we went up there every night). We got a room with a view, and it was perfect. I would stay here again if we went back to Athens.

Room Tip: We had a room with a view on the 4th floor. It had an incredible view and was very quiet.

What a view! I could see the Parthenon from my room. There is also a great view from the rooftop. I was here for New Year’s Eve, so got to see the fireworks from this superb vantage point. I bet the rooftop is a nice place to have a drink and snacks in the summer. The hotel is very near the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, and a short walk to the Acropolis, central square and other tourist attractions. The staff were very helpful.

I was in Room 610, which is a cozy size but fine for one person. It has a double bed, decent size desk, chair, TV, luggage rack, cupboard, safe and fridge. There is a radiator heater, so you can't adjust it yourself, but the heat was fine. The shower in the bathroom had a very good water flow, with the water being hot instantly without waiting and, unlike some hotel showers, was easy to work out how to use. The hairdryer was not very good, so bring your own if this matters to you.

Dear ElizabethJK,
We really like to ensure that our guests are comfortable and are able to benefit from a relaxing break with us and so I was delighted to read that you were happy with your Acropolis room and the location of the hotel. As our attempt is to improve, it is unfortunate that you haven't asked at the front desk and given us the chance to fix the hairdryer in your room.
We do hope to welcoming you again in the future.
Best Regards,

We always try and spend a couple of nights at the Plaka hotel. It's in a great location, with friendly, warm and helpful staff this is a hotel that should be on anyone's list when visiting Athens. Close to Monastiraki and the bazaar of Plaka it caters for everyone and every budget. This is our fifth stay at the hotel and certainly not the last. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for an enjoyable stay.

We spent an enjoyable week in a family room (two adjoining rooms) in August. Both rooms were the compact size typical in city hotels but had comfortable beds, small fridges and effective air-con. The balcony was pointless, really - no chairs, and the space was taken up by two air-con units - but it didn't bother us as we used the breakfast room during the day (free tea and coffee) and the roof terrace at night.

Location is ideal - countless restaurants and shopping options on the doorstep, 10 minutes walk to the Acropolis, 30 minutes to the main Archaeological Museum.

Staff were very helpful, booking tickets, chatting to guests at breakfast, trying to track down a hat left on a tour bus etc.!

Dear FSD21,
As we are constantly trying to provide the best in accommodation and service, we were very happy to hear that all your family enjoyed their stay with us. Our location is indeed right in the center of all of the tourist attractions of Athens and this clearly aided your sightseeing and event planning whilst you were at the hotel. Thank you so much for the positive comments about the staff.
Kind regards
