The staff's behavior and the hotel's location were very good.the breakfast was delicious although the lobby was coold. The view of restaurant on top of Royal Olympic Hotel was stunning and Extremely beautiful. There were several restaurants and markets near the hotel and accessibility to taxi was very good.

My boyfriend and I were on a Gate1 Travel tour that included a 2-night stay at The Royal Olympic in Athens before proceeding on a 4-day Aegean cruise. Our room was spacious, clean, bed very comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. Lobby and room are tastefully decorated. What made this hotel very appealing to us is its central location. It's a short walk to The Plaka, the oldest section of Athens which is bustling with restaurants, bistros and shops. We were glad we didn't have to go far or take a taxi to grab lunch, enjoy a relaxing dinner, or shop for souvenirs.

And the icing on the cake is The Royal Olympic's rooftop restaurant that offers an amazing view of the Acropolis at a distance and a gorgeous panorama of the city and the mountains. Hadrian's Arch and the Temple of Zeus were within a stone's throw. To top the amazing view is a breakfast buffet with a bountiful selection of hot and cold dishes plus plenty of fresh fruits which we loved. Eating breakfast in the terrace rewarded us with a spectacular vista first thing in the morning. Service at the restaurant was impeccable. Other guests told us it's hard to get seating at a rooftop restaurant so we considered ourselves lucky we didn't have to go looking for one. Overall service, cleanliness is Excellent. Great value.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Athens!

The hotel is located a bit out of centre. The room was ok clean but not very charming. OK bathroom. The hotel did not have the style of a 5 star hotel, the lobby without charm. The roof bar and terrace excellent but was closed part of the time for my visit.
Breakfast ok, but odd to sit and eat at long tables with other guest and no privacy.

Room Tip: get a room high up to enjoy a view

We stayed at this hotel 5 years previously. This time we had an inside room with no window. The air conditioning controller on the wall seemed to have no effect on the temperature and we were too warm every night.
The breakfast room is on the top floor with fantastic views of Athens. There was a large selection of food at breakfast. The first morning the breakfast room had lest than 20 guest. The other 3 mornings there were conferences in the hotel and we had to queue for a table.
