My husband and I stayed one night at the tail end of our trip. The hotel is stunning. From the wall of old woodwork in the lobby to the ceiling installation in the restaurant, not to mention the room itself. Let me paint a picture: bamboo flooring, super modern furnishings, blackout blinds than run on an electric switch, large mirrored wardrobe and sleek glass bathroom, free chocolate dipped strawberries on arrival, etc... Do you get it now? The city is bustling and if we're being honest, a bit dirty, but the hotel feels like a quiet luxurious oasis you can escape to. And we only reserved a regular room so I can't imagine what the suites look like!
With all of that said, it's not a warm fuzzy hotel. Maybe it's too large for that. No one reached out to us before our stay (as they did at every other place we stayed) and we saw guests enter the lobby without so much as a "hello". However, when I requested their assistance, someone was quick to respond and made a reservation on our behalf.
The location is excellent - very close to major attractions like parliment, national gardens, etc...
This level of luxury comes at a price, but I think it's worth it.More
