This quaint property in a budget stay with excellent location as it is 5 minutes away from Monastiraki Square, also ideal for sightseeing in the old town as well good connectivity to the metro. Also a stone throw away from the central market.
The hotel itself supposedly is from 1926, and since then I suppose not much has been changed (except for adding Aircon and TV) - which is the charm of this place. Respectively expect creaking and step noises from other rooms as well noises from the street coming in, also some imperfections at the floor/walls/etc. This is all part of the charm but might not be everyone's taste.
Bathroom is very small but sufficient.
The biggest issue of this place when I visited was the WiFi as it was not reaching the rooms and even at the breakfast area it was not always good.
Tip: Ask for a room facing sideways for less street noise
Tip2: Visit Aiolou Street, parallel to the Athinas street where the hotel is located - charming pedestrian only street with less crowd than the main Monastiraki or Plaka areaMore
- Free Wifi
