Owner description: The second largest temple on the Acropolis has a complex and unique structure, including its famous Porch of the Caraytis with statues of six graceful maidens on the south side and a four-pillared porch with six Ionic columns on the north side.

You really get a sense of the purpose and structure while looking at the Erechtheion and it's beautiful caryatids.

Renovation is underway at Erechtheion but the statues illustrate its glamorous past.

It's one of buildings at Acropolis and must see (as others).

The building lies to the left once you enter the Acropolis proper, it faces the Parthenon. It has restricted access, but you can get close enough to detail the beauty of the Cariatides and the sober lines of the architecture. It is incredible to see in person and stand in front of these famous buildings that one has studied in school. If you are an art and history buff, you must visit

My favorite structure at Acropolis. Proud statues of Caryatids guards sacred place where Athena battled with Poseidon for patronage of the City. Nice photo opportunity.
