Well, this is an Irish pub frequented by Irish people plus various locals. Perfect spot with a great view of the ancient ruins and surrounded by second hand bookshops. The keep Guinness and Kilkenny. The secret in draught beer is how well it's kept. No cut corners here. Great beer, though on the pricey side. Various things to eat or nibble on. The meets platter is surprisingly generous and very tasty. If you want to avoid the various souvlaki banalities around thission, that's your choice.

Not usually a big fan of Irish pubs on the continent, but this one is very well done and actually run by an Irishman. Spent a couple of evenings watching the rugby matches (the weather was not great, so it was a welcome pit stop before and after dinner). Great friendly staff who all seemed to enjoy being there. Only had a snack of beef nachos, but the portion was huge and tasty. Lots of other people eating and the food looked great. Real mix of expats, tourists and local young crowd. As others have commented, the smoking ban has yet to take hold in Greece, so an upgraded ventilation system would make an enormous difference. Luckily, a lot of visiting smokers were obviously in the habit of going outside to smoke. Worth a visit.

We ordered a platter for 4 people and it was delicious. The cigar smoke was so unpleasant however but other than that I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Very cool spot across from all the used book sellers. We had beers and enjoyed Chicken Wings which were very enjoyable after weeks of Italian and Greek food.

Has great beer for €5 a pint, beer batter cod n chips, salmon, burger n chips for €9-12 euro. The food is a notch above usual pub grub. Great atmosphere and friendly staff and owner from Mayo. Went back for the cod n chips, lovely.
