We stayed for a long weekend over in Athens, the hotel is not the newest, however, both room and the bed were very comfortable. The staff was super helpful, first in changing our room (from 2 single beds to 1 double) and secondly with showing us the best routes and places to see. The location was great, very close to the metro and walking distance to the strict center. Nice breakfast.

I can't say I didn't like my stay in the Crystal City Hotel in Athens because the staff was very friendly and my room was clean.. But the rooms are definitely not soundproofed,the breakfast was disappointing and the neighborhood was rather strange. Not legal things are happening there I must say.
Great staff (especially when the night desk man Thomas who sorted a taxi over charge brilliantly) and very well maintained day to day. Good location at a fair price. Smallish but adequate rooms. Starting to need a “refresh”. Sadly the roof top patio was closed. I would stay again.
Only location is worth when it come to the hotel! Nothing exceptional about staff but they are helpful.
Room - there is nothing much good to say about the room. Room is very small, very warm! When we asked why it is warm & why cant we adjust our room temperature then they said it is a central system and same temperature apply to all the rooms and right now set for warm since still "winter set-up"! First 2 days we couldn't sleep at all. Then we found out how to switched off the system in the room, and then kept balcony door opened throughout night to have some fresh, cold temperature.
Also, it seems their housekeeping people are hired from the street with no knowledge at all about how to set-up a room. One day no cups at all, one day no glass at all, 1 day no shampoo refilled, 1 day no soap, 1 day more pillows than they required.
Breakfast - it is not a good breakfast at all !! There is not much as "International breakfast items" neither had proper Greek breakfast, as I think. Even bread provided were not good, only 1-2 items were in the hot buffet and they were floating in oil.
Hotel in general - everything is bad, not worth for the money at all. It is worth only due to the location where the Metro is just 50meter from the hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay! The room we were given was equipped with all the necessities and it was clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfastwas satisfactory!
We stayed at this hotel for a week vacation. The rooms are small and outdated but most European hotels are, however the staff, location and breakfast are great. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is near all downtown amenities and walking distance to all transportation and the acropolis. The bakery downstairs is open 24/7 and is amazing. The breakfast is great and buffet style with fresh vegetables and delicious Greek cuisine. It's a little noisy because traffic and street noise but by the time we come back to sleep we are too tired to care. They recommended Alexander the Great Restaurant and we loved it.
