The hotel staff is mostly young and very very friendly which makes up the the old hotel. Food is plenty and good and at decent prices. Too many pigeons surround the hotel and sit on the outside of the building. But nevertheless inside one is treated very welcoming.

This property is exactly as many have already stated. It is a basic hotel with an amazing staff. I loved all of my interactions with the front desk. The breakfast buffet rivals another much more pricey property we visited this trip. Yes, that orange juice machine is a marvel indeed. I loved it! The location near the port and subway makes it a desirable location. There are certainly times when the journey is all about the accommodations and then there are those times when you’d rather spend the time and money exploring the location. The accommodations were secondary or probably last on our list of priorities on this stay. We enjoyed the city of Athens. We would recommend the Savoy Hotel for anyone looking for a place to hang your hat while you go about doing more important things. Thank you to the Savoy for a wonderful stay!

The people who served on the reception desk were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. That is the same of the staff in the dining room. The room was smaller then we in Canada are use to but sufficient enough for three people. The balcony was huge and provided a great view of Piraeus. The hotel was clean and the room was cleaned daily. The location was within walking distance to cafe's restaurants and shopping, as well as the port and conveniently located to the two different types of bus service and the subway was easily accessible. The hotel was located at a fair distance from any areas of concern. Our trip took place in May of 2014.

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor at the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel is located on a busy street.

Clean enough but way too hot and aircon didn't work. Noisy street. Cooked breakfast stone cold. Shower boiling hot then freezing cold every few seconds. Close to Zea Marina and Pireaus Port. Decent restaurants nearby.

Wanted to stay close to the office. For the price I thought the hotel was great. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and lots of pressure. Did here traffic from the street so ask for a room in the back if you want quiet
