Nice hotel poor beach 30 minutes walk to tigakti by beach road, there was a real problem with black seaweed on most beaches you have to walk through it every time you go in water.Breakfast was okay but most of the food was very poor there is a tarverna 200 yards turn left as you come out of hotel very good typical Greek The swimming pool is excellent. Pool bar okay but limited choice of drinks the hotel bar is pleasant with lounge area large but very few use bar or lounge excellent blond lady Dmitry who welcome us on our arrival, this was 22.30 on Sunday 7th august no food available .Room cleaning was excellent by a very pleasant lady the gardener was e real nice guy the kids play area was very basic the owner Maria very helpful but not always in residence. You look Across the waters are and see Turkey and brings back memories of staying i near Turguteris

Room Tip: Beach view

We returned from the Irina 4 weeks ago and waited to write a review so the rose tinted glasses could cloud over and a more honest review be written. However this has not happened. This is simply a great place to stay.
So, the cons....it is a walk into town, 30 minutes stroll in the heat of the day but 20 minutes later in the evening. The bus is good but a taxi cheaper at 7€ if there are 4 of you. There are also bikes to hire at 5€ a day. Secondly, the evening meals could do with a bit more finesse, we found them very limiting. Chips with almost everything and a distinct pre cooked style.

And that's it, everything else was great. The staff are friendly and helpful, the apartments comfortable and exceptionally clean, the pool is fabulous with a beautiful view over to Turkey and Pserimos. The beach is small and a bit stony on the sea bed for tender feet but it's lovely to sit there are watch the waves from either a beach bed or the stone bench that has been recently built.

A few useful tips.., the hairdryers are good, the kettle good, the shower had decent pressure, the balcony big enough for 4 to lunch and we found the beds comfortable. Towels can be provided for the beach if you ask. The orange juice from the bar is squeezed right there and is absolutely delicious. You need air con so budget it in at 6€ a day and we had one safe for 4 of us. My boys loved the chicken gyros or pizza for lunch. Oh yes! The sun beds need lilo's as they can hurt your back but I believe these are being changed for 2017. Also most people leave lilo's when they go home or pass them on to the next family. The cocktails from the bar are very good and great way to finish the evening. There are no problems with either refugees or immigrants so ignore the press!
We ate at the Kitchen in Tigaki which was wonderful, the service was not speedy but definitely worth the wait. Also Ampeli was a really authentic Greek Taverna so well worth a few visits but spray with insect repellent before you go. Also there is fresh fruit and veg stall just down from the hotel which sells fabulous produce.
Also get up and watch the sunrise and then take a trip to Zia to see it set, such a lovely experience.
Our boys are 18 and 16 and they they thoroughly enjoyed passing the days by the pool - yes there's wifi!! We had wifi in our rooms too (30 and 31).

If you want peace and quiet, great service and good rooms this is the place for you.

Just returned from Irina beach hotel, beautiful hotel with views to die for Maria and her staff will ensure all your needs are catered for from food and drink to arranging car hire. We were in room 40 with exceptional views overlooking the pool and the welcoming
Ageon Sea . Ok you are a couple of miles away from the bars and restaurants but it is a bus ride away or a pleasant walk along the coast road. The buses are every hour and very reliable. If your worried about the migrant issue then don't be as there are none there all moved on now. All the rooms are clean and cleaned every day with towels changed when needed. We are already looking to book our next holiday at the Irena.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front on the top floor have exceptional views

Just stayed in the irina beach hotel for 2 weeks, the hotel was excellent fabulously clean with fresh towels and bedding daily. Hospitality from Maria and staff was first class, thankyou.
The view from our room was amazing !
Our grown up offspring stayed in 2 one bedroom apts in an a joining block was spacious and just as well maintained by the house keepers.
Our room was amazing!!!! No19
Tigaki is very quiet at the minute and it's a shame! Kos had bad press last year and as far as we could see it was un called for..
It's a beautiful resort and needs tourism to keep it going! Go and enjoy!!!!! This was our 5 th visit and the first time to irina , one of the best rooms we've stayed in in Greece well done Maria and team

We have just returned from 3 weeks at the lovely Irina Beach Hotel. What a super hotel, the recently renovated rooms are lovely, with comfy beds and good bathrooms and are kept spotless by the friendly room service ladies, who also kept the whole hotel immaculate.
The breakfast, which was included in our room price was very good and you could take your pick from the breakfast menu from simple fruit and yoghurt to a full English.
The views from the bedroom balconies are quite breath taking and the pool which is very large is kept spotless with lots of sunbeds for everyone, also a few on the beach, thank you Marie.
All the staff are friendly and helpful from the gardener to the owners Marie and Nikos, nothing is too much trouble for them, ask and they will help.
The hotel is a little way out of Tigaki centre, but this comes with the bonus of peace and quiet, also there is a bus stop just outside which will take you into Tigaki or into Kos town. There are also lots of car and bike hire available and the cycle ride along the sea front into Tigaki is great with lots of tavernas to stop at along the way.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with great views you cannot go wrong with this little piece of paradise.
Yes we were a little apprehensive about Kos after all the bad media even though we have been many times, but there really is absolutely nothing to worry about. We saw nothing in the 3 weeks we were there to give us any cause for concern, we cycled all over the island and Kos town is as lovely as is has always been and all the villages we visited were peaceful with friendly locals. So PLEASE if you thinking of Kos GO take your children even your grandchildren you will be safe and warmly welcomed by the local people.
Thank you all at the Irina Beach for making our holiday into another unforgettable one and we will see you all again soon.

Room Tip: The newly renovated superior rooms are a good choice
