We stayed on vacation for 4 nights.

Room was clean, wide beds.

Breakfast was good, but only tomatoes and cucambers in the vegetable part. If you are into ham, sausages, eggs and so on, that is the right place.

We ate one dinner, at evening, a la carte, and it was very good.

You can have a buffet option too.

You need transportation to reach the city center, the hotel have free shuttle, but yet. it is a bit inconvenience .

The hotel location is near shops for vehicle parts, and have no tourists attracions nearby.

The new One mall is about a mile from the hotel.

A good hotel more like 4 stars.

Oded.

Room Tip: Take a room faces to the yard. I heard complaints about bad smell from a room face the back of hotel. We did not have that problem.

Dear oded s,

Thank you for your review and for sharing your experiences through Trip Advisor.

We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed our dinner at Seros Prime Dning, our "clean rooms" with "wide beds".

Furthermore, we would like to inform you that as the area that the hotel is located is not heavily populated, it gave us the chance to provide you with the most spacious rooms that you could find in a city hotel. Our complimentary shuttle service is at your disposal for your transfer to the city center and back during the day.

Your feedback is extremely important to us and allows us to continually monitor and improve our services.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights June 11-13,2018, as a part of a group tour.
The hotel is poorly located at the outskirts of the city in a commercial/industrial zone and you need to take bus No 12 or the hotel’s shuttle to get to the city. There is nothing for the tourists in the vicinity of the hotel, not even a coffee shop which is so common in Greece, including small villages. When you stay at this hotel, you are completely isolated, and they use it to overcharge for simple drinks at least twice their price.
The hotel is sold as a 5 stars hotel with a swimming pool and SPA. The rooms were supposed to have an electric kettle- in fact only on the executive rooms that costs 20€ more per night.
The rooms were on the small side, and their main advantage is, was the excellent A/C that is so needed in a hot climate like we had.
The greatest catastrophe was the dining room. Unfortunately we had a half board in the hotel, meaning we paid for breakfast and dinner each day. On arrival, the hotel was not prepared for a large group (we were 40 including our guide) , and actually we had to scrape the leftovers of the previous dinners.
The next morning the dining room was overcrowded with dinners, no place to seat, no utensils or mugs, and finally when I found a spot, it was a battle to get to the breakfast products. It felt like Oliver Twist in Dickens stories. Although it was very crowded, only 4 waters at the most were active, and only one worker ran around to fill the missing food. The same scene repeated itself the next two mornings to follow. The second night we dined at the hotel, and we were expected by the staff, there was food but poorly cooked and without many choices. The next 2 nights , I preferred to dine at ease where I could sit quietly and choose my food.
Thirdly the promised pool was always unavailable for us. It closed at 15:00 the first 2 days and was closed whole Tuesday, our last day at the hotel.
All together I highly recommend against staying at that hotel, and certainly against dining there.

Dear Iris O,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Grand Hotel Palace.
I was dismayed to read that you were not entirely satisfied with your experience.Kindly, be advised that as the area that the hotel is located is not heavily populated, it gave us the chance to provide you with the most spacious rooms that you could find in a city hotel. I am sorry that the hotel did not meet your expectations and that you encountered inconveniences upon arrival. Your experience does not reflect the Grand Hotel Palace standards of which we are usually so proud, which is why I will follow up on this matter with the entire team. If you would like to speak with us directly, please feel free to e-mail us at guestrelations@grandhotelpalace.gr. Someone from the team will reach out to you.

Reserved a room here because of its location near the bus station. Looks great from the outside but inside it has absolutely no character that 5 star hotels usually have and here the decor was all very cheap. The room and bathroom were clean but worn carpet. No furniture on an otherwise spacious balcony. Nice welcoming staff but food in the restaurant was very standard. The gym was a joke and no-one was there to get one of the few machines to work. But the worst and probably the reason why there was nothing on the balcony was the terrible smell from outside as it seems it's next door to a sewage plant! Was impossible to open the window. The front desk was sympathetic but obviously knew of the problem. And there is nothing of any attraction nearby so they have a free bus into the centre. Stay in a cheaper hotel and spend the difference on a taxi to the bus station would be my advice

Dear Nigel D,

Thank you very much for choosing Grand Hotel Palace for your recent stay.

We really appreciate your time to share your experiences on Tripadvisor. We are very pleased to see that you received the genuine and caring service you deserve from our "nice welcoming" and "sympathetic" staff. I look forward to sharing your kind comments with the entire team as I know that your words will make everyone incredibly proud.
Regarding the rooms, gym and swimming pool, we are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations. On July 2018, we are planning to do up our rooms to upgrade our high quality standards and services.
Furthermore, as the area that the hotel is located is not heavily populated, it gave us the chance to provide you with the most spacious rooms that you could find in a city hotel. Our complimentary shuttle service is at your disposal for your transfer to the city center and back during the day.
Please accept my sinceres apologies for the area's smell. Lot of buildings near the sea such as our hotel are cope with this problem.
In collaboration with municipality we try to find a solution in order to deodorize this matter of smell.

Your feedback is extremely important to us and allows us to continually monitor and improve our services.

Thank you for staying at Grand Hotel Palace and we hope we will have the chance to accommodate you again and revise your impression.

Far from the city centre, but an excellent free shuttle bus service provided every full hour. The same bus takes you back to the hotel at every quarter past the hour. Recommended!
Breakfast service slow and rather inefficient. The restaurant staff don't manage to clear tables before next guests arrive. Why no coffee machines available? Coffee is served by waiters on request.
Otherwise the hotel is clean, rooms quite big and clean as well. Quiet place in general, even though there were many guests. Food was good in the restaurant. I also made use of a free body massage offered as a welcome gift by the hotel spa. Very professional!

Room Tip: Very comfortable bed!

The Grand Hotel Palace hotel is a lovely hotel with great amenities. The rooms are clean, the food at breakfast is great and the hotel offers a lovely pool and a nice gym. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are willing to bend over backwards to help you with whatever you need.
Overall a very, very satisfying and pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Take a room that faces the front of the hotel.
