Stayed in Villa 6 in August we absolutely loved it. The location was perfect and the staff were extremely pleasant. Small problem with the TV which took a few days to fix and the wifi was a bit patchy but otherwise couldn't fault the Villa. The pool was maintained to a high standard every day and the BBQ was cleaned after each use. Cleaners were excellent and very friendly as well. Wasps and Hornets a bit of a problem on occasion but burning a citronella candle seemed to keep them away. Restaurants and beaches were generally great definitely need a car here (we walked up and down the hill on a few occasions) Taxis very fairly priced. All in all a great place to stay in a great location.

My husband and I stayed in Villa No 2. This Villa was by far the best accomodation we have stayed in and we have visited many areas of Greece over the last 20 years. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were immediately at home. The Villas are all kept to a excellent standard. Our beds were changed three times in a week and all towels replaced also. We had all essential groceries complimentary in the Villa for our arrival from fresh bead and honey to toilet rolls kitchen rolls bottle of wine beers yogurts fresh fruit etc etc. What a lovely welcome surprise The villas were spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Nothing was left uncovered to make our weeks holiday extremely relaxing. Even to the last touch of a bottle of complimentary Olive Oil left for us on our departure. A wonderful relaxing weeks holiday

Room Tip: All Villas great Villa 6 has sea views Villa 2 has private pool area and gets sun all day

Villas are very beautifully decorated and furnished, well equipped.
Very spacious kitchen with all the necessary things inside, including dishwasher
Nice and bright bedrooms.
The swimming pools are deep so small children need watching.

There are a lots of wasp and bees.

Room Tip: Villas 5 and 6 had the best view

Wow! Stayed here for five nights and will definitely be returning. The specification of the villa is very high with excellent facilities. Very spacious kitchen and bathrooms with toiletries provided. There is also a washing machine, which was very useful. Each bedroom has air-conditioning. The outside space was beautiful with a pool and lounge beds. The staff were very attentive and whatever you required you only need ask. It was a truly wonderful experience, worth spending the few extra pounds on.

If you prefer a relaxed yet interesting vacation then Thasos could be the place for you.
My wife and I have taken holidays on the island many times over the years and I'm pleased to say there has been little change round the old harbour in Thassos town or Limenas as its called.
This year we travelled with our daughter, son in law and our 2 year old granddaughter and had a really great time with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees and only one day of persistent rain in our 2 week stay in May.
The island does not really wake up to tourism until mid May then it gets busy through the summer until September when the shops and taverna's start closing down.
We have stayed in many different hotels in the town but my daughter came up with Thassian Villas which had good reviews, and I'm very pleased we gave it a go, but bear in mind we stayed in villa No 6 which in my honest opinion knocked spots off the other five.
All the villas are of the same design structurally but have various pool and terrace layouts
Villas No 1 & 2 have level access but are open to the road and have poor views.
Villas No 3 to 6 have many steps and slopes, not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Villas No 5 & 6 have the best views and best pool layouts.
Villa No 5 the three bed villa is no larger than the others, the extra bedroom takes up a third of the lounge floor area.
Villa No 6 is amazing, if I had the cash I'd buy it, very well equipped with a security safe, hair dryer, towels and bedsheets (changed every 3 days), beach towels on request, 2 sofa beds in the lounge, it even had its own veggie patch for fresh lettuce and tommies
swimming pools are deep so young children need watching.
Maria and Doru (Mr Fix it from Romania) both do an excellent job of looking after you and your villa.
Our 30ft x 15ft pool was well maintained and the BBQ cleaned every time we used it
The odd mosquito and wasp was floating round, lots of bees but they didn't worry us.
There are several good sandy beaches round the island but for something a little different my favorite has to be Alyki
Providing you buy something to eat or drink you can drive down and park your car in one of three taverna's adjoining the beach.
Its well worth walking round Alyki's peninsular and discovering the rock pools, take a net and a bucket, great fun for the kids and mums and dads
Away from the beach Panagia is another one of my favourites, test your driving skills by driving up to the old church at the very top of the village, walk round the fascinating water falls cascading down the narrow side streets.
As far as nights out are concerned you can't go wrong by starting the evening off with a couple of cocktails at Café Kuranti a lovely setting to watch the sun go down at the tip of the old harbour, you'll find all your old favourites here and some you've never heard of.
My better half got hooked on a classic called "Summertime" while I was quite impressed with the size of their "B52s"
Most nights we ended up at Simi's restaurant close to the little park also overlooking the old harbour, we just loved everything about this place, the service, the atmosphere the location and the quality of their food, all great, get their before 8-30 as they're full every night.
The only problem we encountered resulted from a misunderstanding between Thomson and the car hire company.
The brochure clearly stated because of our party size, pushchair and child seat requirements we qualified for two small cars to be collected from Thassos port and this was written in our contract.
An upgrade to a larger vehicle was not an option unless we paid extra for it.
We were quite happy with the two car arrangement as they could be an advantage once we got the initial shuttle runs to the villa out of the way.
But things did not go to plan and we were eventually given two cars at Kavala airport which just about accommodated everything.
However this arrangement although good for us caused an even further upset when it came to who was paying for the ferry crossing from Kerimoti to Thassos and vice versa
So, if you have a similar arrangement then my advise is take the relevant paperwork with you as this could save a lot of time and confusion.

Room Tip: Villa No 6 is best
