Well hidden under the Swedish Parliament this museum takes you through Stockholm's history. Fun for all as it is a small museum (doesn't take to long to see it all) and very interesting!

Currently this museum is free, but come Sept. 2018, there might be a fee required upon the election results.

It is very interesting how the walls had been so close to the water, but the land has risen as the land thawed. It also gives a good perspective of what life was like back in the 1500's.

Seeing the historic original wall is fascinating.

Easy walking and good displays.

Pat, my guide, painted a vivid picture of the history of Kilkenny. I was lucky enough to be the only person on the late afternoon tour. Without Pat, I would not have been able to appreciate the uniqueness of this medieval city in full. His colorful and informed narrative should be the official audio guide for this museum. I am an American archeologist and Pat’s narrative was engaging, historically accurate and his vibrant storytelling actively engaged the imagination in painting a picture of multiple historic Kilkenny events. I would absolutely recommend Pat’s live tour and this museum to anyone looking for a flavorful taste of medieval Ireland.

This is a small and very manageable museum located right next to the Royal Palace. It's free and definitely worth a visit. I learned a lot about Medieval life in Sweden. Much of what you will see here is reconstructed, the plus side being that you can touch these items or go inside it. There is some authentic items, which you obviously can't touch. It's highly kid-friendly, though I'd say there's something for everyone here. I'd recommend spending 1.5-2 hours here.
