Cabin with fireplace and sauna. WiFi is installed in a couple of cabins and sometimes gives just a low and slow signal to the other cabins, this can be improved.
Matti also offers his snowmobil excursions which is a very nice way to spend a day. Just a shame that he doesnt always offer his full day excursion.

They have a spare stative/tri-pod available which is a must when you want to photograph the northern light. Btw, a Good location for that is at walking distance at the lake or just before that between the trees (path is between cabin 3 and 4)

All in All: well equiped kitchen and cabin and close to 1 of the beter villages in this area.

My daughter and I stayed in cabin 7 over the 2017/2018 New Year period, and we were very pleased!
The cabin was much better than our expectations, being spacious, comfortable, warm, and with wifi.
We met the owners, and they offered us the use of the kick sleds, down hill sleds, and the option of kit, such as warm gloves, etc. They were very kind, and also showed us a great place for sledding.
We would definitely stay in one of their cabins again!

We spent Easter in Ounasloma cabins, and it was a shock for us. I do not recommend anybody to come here: facilities were old and lack of renovation. We spent half a week without a real shower, since there was no water pressure at all. The "family bed" was put on the floor, and very thin and too much used matresses were +20 years minimum. Last but not least, the cottage was a non-smoking one, but still someone had smoked inside. Not the very best start for the sport Holiday! Our host was very unfriendly and mean, since he "couldn't" sniff smoke at all.He called us with uncredible names like "Ms Perfect" etc., and said, that we only want to have price discount and are lying.

I'm sorry that your holiday did not fill your expectations. It makes me wonder why, since you told that you have been in our cottages already three times before. We discovered the water pressure problem just few days after you arrived and are sorry for that. The pressure drops for 15 minutes once or twice a day and we are working on figuring why. When you called about the smoke problem, I also came to smell the cottage and did not smell any smoke. We also called the cleaner and she had not noticed any smoke.

This apartment has cool looks. There are some places to go for fun, we can see greenry outside for rejoicing. Moreover, peaceful sleep we could have there inside with lovely ambience. There we could have room services, meal and all luxuries even.

Thank you to Matti and his team/family for a wonderful stay!
A truly special location and very well appointed property. Great communication beforehand and during and nothing too much trouble ie fixing a light and sorting cross country skis for us.
Location is great (we would recommend a car) and easy to find.
Cottage #7 was warm, spacious, clean, well equipped - we enjoyed daily sauna and plenty of wood for an open fire to add to the ambience.
We didn't do a skidoo trip with Matti as we had already done this in Sweden, but had a husky safari with Hetta Huskies, hired cross country skis and did some snow-shoeing. We were also lucky to see Aurora Borealis, but not directly from the cottage (suggest you use the Aurora App) - we drove along the road to Norway for a great view.

Room tip: No separate rooms, i think two beds on the ground floor could have been sectioned off - otherwise all open plan.
