The location was perfect. There is a grocery store across the street. Restaurants, bars, and shops all within walking distance.
The apartment was cozy and very clean. There is a small balcony off of the kitchen which was used by my traveling friends who smoke.
Bustop 6 is only 2 blocks away. It was the one we used for being picked up for tours and also buses that go to the airport.
I cannot express how happy we were to stay in this lovely apartment over New Years Eve. It is smack dab in the center of old town Reykjavik. Parking is available and a grocery store is right across the parking lot. You can walk ANYWHERE from here. The place was very clean and comfortable and relatively quiet at night. Agust was a wonderful host, waiting for us with the key when we arrived. This beats staying at a hotel anytime. We will be back!
We spent 4 nights here in February 2017 (the warmest February in Iceland for a generation!) and the location is absolutely brilliant. You couldn't be closer to everything you'd want to see in downtown Reykjavik being literally a stone's throw from the main shopping street and 5 minutes walk from the cathedral or the Harpa down at the front.
There is a cheap (for Iceland!) supermarket right opposite and a smaller convenience store round the corner. We had hired a car and there is parking right outside which is free overnight and pretty cheap in the day (cheaper still on the street).
The flat itself was well named with the living space open plan and comfortable with everything you need for a short self-catering stay. Teenage kids were happy with the good wi-fi and all English TV channels plus skysports were available. It was very warm, clean with plenty of towels provided and good comfortable beds.
If you're looking for centrally located apartment that comfortably sleeps 4, then you could do a lot worse than this! Communication with the host was also excellent.
Great apartment, convenient to all downtown facilities. Agust was an attentive and responsive host who addressed any issues we had in a timely manner.
The only down side was that we had to pay for parking our vehicle every day we were there from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs, except Sunday. It is not a lot and we were out most of the time but it is something you have to be aware of.
The noise from the pubs and downtown restaurants is challenging on Friday and Saturday nights, but not overwhelming and if your on holidays you are up for most of it.
All up we were happy with our stay and would definitely return and recommend to others.
Excellent location in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. Very well equipped with a supermarket across the road and lots of restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Communications from our host Agust were great prior to arrival. Our flight to Iceland was delayed by over 12 hours. Agust kept in touch and very kindly provided supplies for us when we finally arrived at 0500! Very highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.
