i stayed Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel for one night on 6/3. I arrived around 4 pm after long flight and the hotel staff mass up the room to twin room which i originally booked for king bed. I was really tired and exhausting that i need to wait for extra more time to change my room to correct one even through i hold diamond status and arrived after check in time to avoid waiting. I asked for parking information but the young guy from front desk could not give any suggestion beside street parking. The bed was really good and the spa on the basement was exceptional. The breakfast was alright since it is boutique hotel there was not much choice. After breakfast, the room key was inactivated at around 11am, i was locked out at door and need to travel back to lobby to reactivated my room key to be able to enter my room. i planed to book the hotel again after my road trip in Iceland but the overall experience was disappointed and unprofessional but the facility was great. So i can only give 3 stars.

Room Tip: room is small but very beautiful

Loved this hotel; it had a very masculine library-themed decor and included some pictures of Reykjavik from the past. The bedding was very soft and comfortable, and the full-length drapes kept out the midnight sun. The bathroom had a nice rain shower. The room included a generous breakfast buffet with something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was central to walk to most sites in Reykjavik. We had no problem using the indoor parking lot near Harpa a few blocks away, which had rates that seemed to be around $20/night, low for an urban center. One thing that was a little strange was that our room opened to an outdoor balcony; the walls were fairly high, and there was no furniture outside, so it was not really an asset to the room. Perhaps in the future they will put out a couple of chairs. Also, there is a row of buildings across the street that seem to be under redevelopment; we heard some construction noise fairly early, but it was not a problem because we were still adjusting to the time difference.

The hotel is hard to find (very small sign) but it is truly a gem once you locate it. Park underneath the green hill by Harpa Music Hall and it’s a short walk away. The hotel has beautiful decor and the front desk staff went out of their way for us and even upgraded our room. Great location, beautiful room that was very clean and breakfast is included. Highly recommend this property!

The Konsulate is a new hotel in Reykjavik and when the word gets out, it will be fully booked. Short version-rooms are excellent, good beds, comfortable baths and great breakfasts. Staff is superb and tremendously helpful and accommodating, that is front desk, restaurant staff, and housekeeping. No one could be nicer. Location is excellent, really near everything and once the local construction is completed and all the streets are fully open, this might be the most convenient facility in town.

It is not inexpensive, but not hotel in Reykjavik is and from what we saw, the value was excellent-free wifi and an excellent breakfast included.

this is a keeper and another example of Hilton's effort to provide high quality and value with its Curio Collection.

Big rooms with nice décor. Good beds and showers. Buffet breakfast was included but was just okay- eggs were overdone and there was no oatmeal. Service was excellent. The parking was the biggest problem- 2 blocks away and had to pay. We also stayed at the Hilton Nordica and I would recommend it over this place.
